Course Curriculum Overview
I had chosen this course as I had enjoyed it in school but after coming to college most of the syllabus is only about Indian politics and not so much of world politics which has been a bit disappointing, I'd say Political Science prepares me for real world applications as it really is just about humans and it is beneficial to study this to understand each other.
Fees and Financial Aid
It was 17000 after for one academic year for ST category and the course is of 4 years so the total comes out to around 68,000, the college does not provide hostel services and development fees, lab fees and others are all included in the fees so no additional charge has been made. No news of scholarship has been made to the best of my knowledge.
Campus Life
This college has no festival presences and is quiet strict about it, the range and accessibility of books and journals are really good and you can find almost all the things you want to read here, the classrooms here all have fans and working lights and some of them even have AC and smart TVs in the classrooms . The ground for now is not available as it's going through construction but it has a nice ground and a decent size.
Admission
I got a confirmed admission from Zakir Hussain College but I opted for upgrade and got Shaheed Bhagat Singh College instead which I took and opted for further upgrade too but got rejected. I was rejected from St Stephens College after the interview round and because my marks were low and couldn't make the cutoff. The admission process of this college is to appear for the CUET exam and make your preference list accordingly, the cutoffs depend on the course you're studying and the category of your background, average students can get into this college with no problem.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio is decent, the relationship is good and the faculties are very approachable and nice. I am liking Sir. Biplab Kumar, he teacher Entrepreneurship Essentials and he's a very good teacher along with Sir. Rajeev Ranjan who teaches Understanding Political Theory. However I'm not liking Sir Yuvraj Kumar as he only speaks in Hindi and has a bad pronounciation in english even though it is an English medium college. We have not had any exams yet so no information on that matter.
