Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I didn't wanted to go for something relating to science, just wanted to explore some other option. They should actually give the students some time to mentally prepare themselves for the end sem, they keep on pressuring, work work work. Tha classes are from 7:30 to 12:45 which is good but you've other things to do the whole day. And that's exhaustive.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Trilegal, khaitan and co have approached our college. I honestly don't know about the roles. Mostly students go for further studies, and even pursue CS for better opportunities. College has a student council which focuses on everything happening in the department.

Placement Experience

3.5

From the 8 semester, students are eligible for placements. Companies like trilegal, khaitan and co made few offers and students got placed. Highest package was about 12 lacs and avg would be around 7. 50% students get their placement. I am quite inclined towards the corporate sector.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees for BALLB is 2.4 lacs, and there's some chance that it might increase in the upcoming time. Registration fees is 1800, and the full one year fee needs to be paid at the admission time. There are no extra charges. Fees for PG courses vary from 90000 to 150000. College also provides scholarships for women, Lower caste students. It has a huge campus with multiple opprtunities. It even has a bank in the campus.

Campus Life

3.5

There's only fest namely, ethnic day which is the worst part as 22000 students dance on the whole campus. There's a 4 floor lib and that's pretty huge.classrooms are great with good ventilation, fans, projector, WiFi. College provides vast range of sports. Law department has 25 committees so there are various things to be a part of!

Admission

I didn't had any other college to get into hence landed up here. I got shortlisted in SLS Noida but both of them are on the same page, hence not worth investing 6 lacs a year. My interviews were good, i got bit nervous. The admission process consists of written test, skill assessment, interview with micro presentation

Faculty

4

The class has around 70 students with a class teacher. Law department has 300 students and two teachers teach one subject diving the sections. 3 ba sections and 2 bba. The LLJP, tort teachers are one of the best, sweetest. English teacher is annoying, deducts marks for every useless things you write. There are 3 cia's for every month and CIA-2 is mid sem of 50 marks after 3 cia its end sem.

Interview Experience

4

Written test is pretty easy, interviews questions were regarding law - contract and what are essentials of contract. Exceptions to some maxims and else more. Preparation can only be done through basic knowledge of law. Nothing much needed for it. Study go on a daily basis. Solve comprehensions.

The placements of Christ University Bangalore, are pretty decent. Students are eligible to get placements for the 9th semester, and there are a lot of companies that come for campus placements like Shardul Amrchnad Mangaldas and Cyril Amrchand Mangaldas, Khaitan, Puviyah and co., Trilegal and etc. The highest placement that went last year was 23 lakh, and the average placement is 6-7 lakhs. My plan is to do litigation after getting a degree.

It's the law firms like Wadia Gandhy, Dsk Legal, Trilegal and others. Some merchant bankers too are now a part of our placements thing and this is where it is getting interested as we are getting to explore new opportunities. Pay as of now is around 4-5 LPA but I hope it increases to atleast 10 by 2030.

The university has a placement cell which is helpful. They help us get internships in which place we want (only if we are eligible). The placements are nice which are reported by the seniors. We got to know that most of the seniors had a starting package of 7L per annum.

Mostly it's the law firms like Indus Law, Globus, PICT and others. The payment scale therefore is less when it is compared with NLSIU or other NLUs. Some private companies like the UB Group and ITC amoung other others are also coming to hire students who have chosen corporate law as their main electives.
