Remarks

One benefit that each and every student will be getting is the quality of education as it is a government engineering college. Faculties are also hardworking and are well-versed in their own field. But as I mentioned it is just only 3 years in age, so it is going through a development phase currently and is quite a level below the premium colleges of the country.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is extremely well versed and it deals a lot with the basics. So it is like starting from level 0 in the college. But one disadvantage is that the syllabus of MAKAUT is not very much updated, and new development in various engineering fields are not reflected that much in the syllabus.

Internships Opportunities

Till now they have provided no internship, but they have arranged for a workshop in the campus from PCS Global Pvt Ltd, which responded to be extremely successful. In some departments, teachers also recommend some internship to many students using their own resources, which is also helpful.

Placement Experience

4

We are the first batch in the College and we are currently studying in 3rd year. So there are no current issues of placements and job opportunities. But the teachers assured that they would arrange for some placements or pool campusing.

College Events

4.5

Every year we celebrate Teacher's day in respect of the faculties present. We also celebrate Viswakarma Puja in our college mechanical workshop. We also celebrate Saraswati Puja every year. Likewise, we also celebrate annual sports meet from all departments and all years in a very cooperative way. In each event, teachers also cooperate with the students in order to make it successful.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are scholarships and tuition fee waivers, helping students from various average or inferior economic background. Scholarships include MCM, Swami Vivekananda, Oasis, etc. Full-freeship and half-friendship are also provided for deserved candidates.

Campus Life

3.5

They are in a development phase, still, labs now, are more or less complete, and much well equipped. There are also various open grounds available for various kinds of outdoor sports. There is an auditorium where various eminent personalities confront their lectures for the well being of the students.

Hostel Facilities

5

Hostel facilities are provided only to the third-year student and not to any other year. But hostel work for others is under progress. Girls and Boys hostel are separate and are quite distant from each other. The supervisor also maintains laws and order and food quality is very-much homelike and a lot appreciable. Construction and rooms are well-built and well-maintained by various workers working here.

Alumni/Alumna

There is at present no alumni network. We are the seniormost batch of the college and we try our best to help our younger brothers and sisters regarding studies and guiding them to solve various problems in different fields.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is according to the current exam structure maintained by the MAULANA ABUL KALAM AZAD UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY. There occur 2 internal exams each of 25 marks and semester exam of 70 marks.30 marks remaining in the semester is provided by the internal teacher based on their internal exam performance and class performance.

Admission

Students must qualify and obtain a very good rank in WBJEE in and around 10000. Then there occurs a counseling process, where students select colleges of their choice and then wait for the result. If they get their college of choice, then they have to go to the reporting center in college and validate their documents like Id,d.o.b, rank card and that's all required for admission. Also, a fee structure is dependent on the college authorities.

Faculty

4.5

They are extremely good and as they are all PSU qualified, they are like gems in their own field. Our college is a newly formed institution and there are some lacking resources. So it is still somewhat impossible for the faculties to provide their best. But still, their approach is extremely appreciable and they also focus on clearing students doubts as much as they can.

I’d rate HIT’s placement opportunities as 7.5/10 overall. It’s very good for CSE, IT, and ECE, decent for Electrical and core branches, and improving every year with more companies visiting and better preparation programs. If you’re skilled and consistent — especially in coding, communication, and aptitude — you’ll almost certainly get placed before graduatin

7th semester is when the students get to sit for placements. I am not sure about the total no of companies visited but I am aware of the name of few companies like IBM Infosys Wipro Capsitech Tech Mahindra cognizant etc . Mostly the girls are 100 percent placed cause there is diversity hiring. Mass recruiters is what visit our campus mostly.. I personally would look for a job after graduation highest package offered displayed by college is 75 lpa but I don't think so it is real. Maybe someone had worked hard and got placed off campus. On campus highest isbi guess 12-14 lpa

Course Curriculum Overview:

- I choose Data Science as it is new to my college when comparing with the other branches. The curriculum is just okay it is not per industry standards but if students deep drives in each aspects then they are likely to crack GATE exams. - The whole curriculum needs and improvement from the very 1st Year and removal of irrelevant subjects like Discrete Mathematics, Electonics, Biology for IT branches are required. - Semester exams are conducted every 6 months and CTs are conducted every 2 months
