- Clinical exposure:As this is a very old government medical college , we have good inflow of patients which gives us great clinal exposure
- College life and campus:The canpus size is around 162 acres with excellent infrastructure
Dislikes
- Open campus: Interference of locals in the campus
- Hostels:renovation of hostels is necessary
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is as advised by CBMECompetency-Based Medical Education. It's an approach to medical education that focuses on the patient, family, and community, and aims to improve the effectiveness of the medical education system. The curriculum is very well oriented to make us competent individuals. Decreasing the number of lectures for the curriculum would be helpful.
Fees and Financial Aid
As It is a Government medical college .The fees per year is very affordable. The annual fees for a year is 38000 rupees.This sum also includes the hostel fees which is around 14000 per annum.The fees for the reserved catagory (e.g:SC/ST ) is also Rs 38000.
Campus Life
There are various clubs in our college (eg-Academic society,AVS society ,cultural society,etc.) Each club gets a month to organise competitions and fests. Every sport facility is avaliable in the college and every month there is some kind of fest. The college is very active when it comes to extracurriculars.
Hostel Facilities
There are various hostels for boys (e.g Gent's Hostel -1 ,GH-2,GH-3) and similar for girls we have ladies hostels. The rooms are spacious although some renovation work is necessary for the hostels.The hostel are well surrounded by walls with proper security. Regarding outside accommodation there are various PGs avaliable adjacent to the campus

Bhima Bhoi Medical College, Balangir 10. Sri Jagannath Medical College & Hospital, Puri 11. Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College, Koraput I could not get into SCBMCH ,cuttack as I could not clear it's cut off in NEET -UG. I have choosen this college over others due to it location,faculty and clinical exposure.
Faculty
Faculty to student ratio is around 1:40.Faculties are really helpful and always ready to help. There are 3 internal exams ,each occuring in a gap of 3 months and a final proff exam occuring after the end of a year. The exam's level can be considered as between moderate and easy.
