Good hands on. not an institution for Reasearch purpose. but good hands on Clinically. Every year this college produces a lot of national level Doctors and Central Institute PGs and PG toppers. A Lot of Studious atmosphere is the best part of my college life.

The place is full of natural beauties, we used to have Study tours every Years. As the Port and sea beach was just 15kms away we friends used hang out there. Late night parties, Farewell and fresher Parties, Zero night, MRC, Annual days and many more like academic functions like CME, Conferences were the integral part of my past UG medical college life.

College Events

5

CONTINUED MEDICAL EDUCATION, WORK SHOPS ON DIFFERENT SURGICAL INTERVENTIONS LIKE LAPAROSCOPY, MASTOIDECTOMY, ARTHROPLASTY etc. We used to call It 13 Festivals in 12months in our campus, haha. every month there used to be 2-3 functions. We used to study everyday in Hostel library, we had facilities like Hostel parking, Cafeteria, Cricket ground, Foot ball ground, TT table, Tennis court, Basket Ball Court, A lord Jagannath Temple, TV Room, Common Room, Discussion room, we used to stay in single rooms.

Alumni/Alumna

They were the main teachers during UG career, they help a lot during exams, they guide both academically, Social, clinically and Mentally like a true mentor.

Admission

I appeared for Premedical test that is AIPMT 2010 and got admission into this medical college as this was near to my home city, Bhubaneswar. I did self preparation, and it was tiring while preparing for two exams. AIPMT and State Board exam for 12th class.

Faculty

4

300+ faculties, with avg age of 41years, lots of JR, SR and Tutors, PG residents and Junior Interns were the best guide during my time. They teach you everything, starting from how to hold a scalpel to How to do Major procedures and field visits, Field surveillance, Immunization, Emergency trainings etc. they helped in every aspect.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is well organized by the authorities based on the latest medical aspect of our society. Practical classes and regular postings in hospital helps in better understanding. Being the only hospital in nearby cities, our hospital provides us a good exposure to varity of cases. Our Associate proff and HODs also look upto them and help us gain more real world experience. The best aspect of this field or if I have to say Why have I chose it is to serve the society. Absence of well qualified doc at the times of emergency is one of the leading causes of mortality in developing countried like India. Being in this profession, I just want to help people around me.

The curriculum prepares the students to face the world. It provides us with a vast patient load that gives us immense knowledge. They teach us how to deal with patients in future. Areas of improvement- Some teachers just show and read out the slides which makes no sense to the 1st timer students.
