I liked my departments faculty so much they are so friendly and have great knowledge about the subject as we as about current things happening in the society.ngs
The university organises various education related seminars , presentation that actually helped us so much to gain knowledge.

Dislikes

The campus connect wifi in university is very poor , the network will be down.
The bus facilities in the university is also bad you won't get buses frequently.

Course Curriculum Overview

After seeing the curriculum I was satisfied to take this course and it is related to my interest and the subject. It prepares us for real world applications as Sociology is about the society and real world. Improvement can be made in the teaching method to have more fied related works and the I am also satisfied with the frequency of exams also .

Internships Opportunities

Very less internship opportunities are available in our college. We will only to asked to search for companies and do internship like datamatics , department of tribal affairs and various small and medium based industries and companies.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

The year wise fees is 16000 only in the 1st semester we paid more amount for other categories Students it will be comparatively high and less based on your caste hierarchy The university provides merit scholarships as well as merit cum scholarships.

Campus Life

Many events and occasions take place in university starting from onam to Pongal to ugadi and Christmas. Onam usually happens in September and pongal in February and Christmas in December. The library also has a very good range and accessibility of books . Smart boards are also available in classrooms and even Air conditioner is installed in classrooms and University organises various sport competitions various social groups like SFI , NSUI , MSF , ABVP students lef organisations are present in the campus.

Admission

I applied in Idhaya college and Bharathidasan college and I got admission in both and also got in Pondicherry University I choose Pondicherry University because it is a central university. I studied in Idhaya college for 4 months as University admission starts late after knowing my seat got confirmed I dropped from Idhaya college. The eligibility is giving CUET exam .

Faculty

The faculty students ratio is 25:1 and the relationship is very approachable and teacher student relation is healthy. I like Imtirenla Longkumer mam , Mansy mam and Parida sir so much they are friendly to us and also teach us well. In one semester we have 3 to 5 papers and oh will be easy and based on our curriculum and syllabus.

the curriculum is very effective for the field I'm choosing and it's just wonderful there will 1 internal after every 2 months and 1 external, it's just from the syllabus of the course so is okay but not very difficult

Course Curriculum Overview:

The diversity in this course is a huge attraction but uni failed to executive this course properly and when it comes to teaching method french and law were quiet good very experienced proffesors are there and political science is somewhat ok but when comes to scholar literally they will be having some ppt and they read it out that's sit you just have to make note from what he read and what you heard that's sit Talking about exam timings french and law are good they complete their syllabus and keep exams on time. Political science dept they conducted exam for us at first as we requested later they repeated the same paper to their students which totally unfair History and sociology depts literally they allot the scholars in last 1 month of the semester and the whole teaching and exams including internals and externals were conducted and completed in one month along with assignment submissions

Overall review of Pondicherry University

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is designed according to current education system but I personally don't prefer to present nep system as it has lot of subjects which are out of our subject also the faculties available are less for all these courses. But the curriculum prepares you enough for the real world application and academic pursuit only when there is enough faculties for teaching the subjects. The course curriculum was changed for us after 1 and half years as we came here for integrated pg but now we are learning for ba hons this was a disappointment for us. Course curriculum is good but the teaching staffs should be increased for our subject and also for other my friends from other department. Exams are kept according to professor convenience without much consideration to students. This give us mental stress and many other problems

Placement Experience:

There are placement opportunities in my department and in my university. Different departments have different MOUs from different Companies. Helping in the employment of the students and if you wanna prepare for competitive exams you are left out from that placements according to your wish.

I applied to mes college,ponanni at first and i got seat there. Live Laugh Love at Pondicherry University

You are eligible to join a course in the ug level if you have a minimum of 55% in 12th grade with eligible subjects and also considering your cuet ug exam score. There is a reservation for obc, sc/st, pwd, residents of pondicherry union territory, etc. The problem with the admission process was that they gave out the notice on 21 Aug 2023 to report there on 23 Aug 2023 which is obviously not possible but they thankfully extended the date.
