Course Curriculum Overview
I have taken mechanical engineering from NIT DURGAPUR. And now I am in my 2nd year. Now I feel that I made a mistake while taking mechanical engineering. This branch is so difficult. But by taking mechanical engineering branch, I got to know how to enjoy life even under so much pressure. Every exam in NIT Durgapur there is time for exam, 1 hour for mid semester exam and 3 hours for end semester exam.

Other private scholarship - SBI, ADANI, COLGATE, AIRTEL, TATA, JINDAL, etc.
Campus Life
There are total 3 biggestfestivals in NIT Durgapur - 1st : AAROHAN - The Annual Techno-Management Fest 2nd : Recstacy - The Annual Cultural Fest 3rd : Aavishkar - The Tech Fest The range and accessibility of books and journals available in the library. NIT Durgapur have one central Library. You will find a fan and light in every class room.
Hostel Facilities
There will be 3 students in each room, 2 fans, 2 lights, 3 beds, 3 tables, 3 chairs for 3 people. The hostel provides food thrice a day, in the morning, afternoon and night. The quality of the food is not very good but it is not bad. After online admission, there is physical reporting. What documents are required for hostel allotment? You will get the list of those through email from the college. You cannot stay in NIT Durgapur by taking a room/PG.
Admission
I had a choice feeling in Josaa counselling in IIEST Shibpur & NIT DURGAPUR and I took admission in NIT Durgapur because I felt that NIT Durgapur's placement, campus, hostels, etc. are very good. I was getting IT in IIEST Shibpur but I took Mechanical in NIT Durgapur because I wanted NIT tag and NIT Durgapur is better than IIEST Shibpur because IIEST's the hostel is not good and the campus is also not that good. Candidates should secure a minimum of 75% marks in the Class 12th Board exam. SC/ST candidates should secure a minimum of 65% of marks in their 12th Board exam. For the general category, the NIT Durgapur JEE Cut Off is opening rank 5446 – closing rank 53615 for HS.
