A TO Z review about ACADEMY OF TECHNOLOGY

The college follows MAKAUT curriculum . MAKAUT hasnt changed its curriculum since 2001 so yup it is old . About relevence i wont say the curriculum is not at all relevent. I would say Makaut needs to update its cs curriculum

From 5th sem a student is considered eligible to sit for placements . main recruiters are TCS, COGNIZANT, IBS SOFTWARE, KPIT LTD,TRIANZ ,last year highest package offered was 12 lpa and lowest was 2.8lpa . percentage of placement is 147 (the only good thing bout AOT). (my plans is of course to get a good placement either in tcs, ibs or cognizant .

-semester wise tuition fee is 52,000 for this 2028 passout batch and for the first sem 1,05,200 ( semester fee = 52,000, admission fee = 10,000, development fee = 15,000 ,admission kit = 3,000, librabry and book bank fee=6,000 , sports & games fee = 4,000,caution deposit = 10,000, MAKAUT DEVELOPMENT + MAKAUT REGISTRATION FEE = 3,000, vidyarthi mediclaim = 2,500) has to be paid ,that is 1,07,000 +5(52,000) which totals upto 4.7 lac though the college takes 12000 additional fee per annum for training which is not compulsory and 1400 per annum for annual fest ARCADIA. -For students enrolled under EWS category the total fee for the whole course is 52,000 . -AOT doesnt provides any merit cum need scolarships

ARCADIA is the annual fest and FROSTHACK is the annual tech fest. ARCADIA is a 2day cultural fest where on the 1st day students pertform and on the 2nd day renowned artists are called to perform it generally happens in the month of april but from this year its being conducted in December . FROSTHACK is a 36 hour hackathon conducted by HOOGHLY CLOUD NATIVE being conducted generally in the month of november . A central library is there in our campus providing online book banks and also physical journals,novels and also academic books. The college has a volleyball court,basketball court and a football ground in which annual competetions are conducted and also regular practice is done . Every branch has their respective students chapter and also there are several clubs (dance, music, sports,art ,photography ).

I had taken admission in one of Jis group's college but changed mind last minute as the fee of AOT is really low then other private colleges . And as its away from the buzz of urbans i dont have to be stuck in jam to reach the college ,the college is just 4 min walk from adisaptagram station thus communication is whatsoever good . other reason for ditching other colleges is that the college provides on and pool campus placement both. Aot accepts admission through jelet, jee main and wbjee and also management quota

-From personal experience some faculty are really nice,interactive but some are rude and egoistic too . Faculty of physics are really rude to be honest but faculty of computer science is really nice. -And bout exams for practical subjects there are 3 exams with in a sem (CA1,CA2,CA3 wich includes an assignment, viva and written exam) and end sem exams are there for theoritical subjects -As the the end sem is taken by makaut, it is considered really hard .
