Likes

I like the campus as its really nice to walk around and interact with people
The university has like many clubs that you can join in like for example read club

Dislikes

Improvement would be if there are dustbins around the campus as there are only few considering how big the campus is
The quality of the infrastructure can be better the class ac is not working sometimes
Hostel washroom shower leaking and taking so much time to fix that as water is wasting

The curriculum is good with good faculty guidance we also got a 6 months free LinkedIn account so we can learn and get started with connecting and finding what best companies we would like to work with . Our exam is 3 hrs

Internships Opportunities

Internship programs are offered from government of india starting from 5000 stipend for like monthly depending how many months you work. But we are not allowed to miss lectures and do internships so its only when we have holidays its possible.

Placement Experience

Campus placement students are eligible from 3rd sem. I think the highest package is 30000 monthly. We have all applied for placement but haven't gotten back from the companies so we are all waiting for that.

Fees and Financial Aid

Year wise fee is in the 1st semesters we have to pay 20000 including admission fee ect 2nd semester 3200, 3 rd semester we have to pay 11000 then 4th semester 3200 again. Scholarship is also available for merit base provided by the university it self

Campus Life

We can take any books from the library within a time span. Faculties use videos as well as sideshows in the lectures. We have sports and cultural programs. We have social groups too and fun programs organize by students

Admission

I only applied for pondicherry university because i wanted to be here and i also got. Pondicherry University we have to write cuet exam so with the mark they will give us admission. Admission process was okay but the hostel process was tiring.

Faculty

Faculty is good teachers are good and approachable. Exam we have in 1st sem 4 papers and if we want to take soft core we can 1st sem softcore is optional. Then in 2nd sem we have 3 paper and 2 softcore amd 3rd sem we have 3 paper and 2 softcore again and 4th sem we have 2 papers and comprehensive viva is compulsory.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In my course we are learning a lot of theory papers like cultural studies , gender and queer studies , subartern studies , critical approches to theories and so on. Even in the thrid sem i had a project of translation under one of the best facutly in our department. This strengthens my resume. These syllabus are really helpful to participate clear competetive exams like ugc net . We had a lot of questions from our syllabus in the previous exam. To tell about the exam , timing is 3 hour for every paper. We dont have any practicals or labs. Paper inclues 2 marks , 5 marks and 15 marks.

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for campus placements after their second semester. That is when recruiter officers approach students for their interest and interviews. Amazon is one of the main recruiters. The average package is 5lpa starting. 40% get placed. My plans are to pursue a PhD after my master's.
