Course Curriculum Overview

5

The responsibility ,honour and duty of this profession influenced me to choose this Course. Curriculum shows us the real side of the world as we survive this field and met patients and their families. Areas of improvement is just the availability of modern and advance tools devices and teaching methods should be more modern as per today's requirment. Frequency of exams are very high and very difficult requirs very high time for preparation.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

We have to complete 1 year of internship with the hospital and college. After internship 2 years of bond is required and after completion of that we are free to work anywhere like working on private hospitals or can open personal clinic and hospital as well and can join government hospital by competition exams or can study further after qualifying NEET PG exam or NEXT .

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm a 2nd year MBBS student at LATE SHRI LAKHIRAM AGRAWAL MEMORIAL GOVERNMENT MEDICAL COLLEGE RAIGARH And 1st and 2nd year fee is 40000 (GOVR) + 5000 ( NON-GOVR) = 45000 rs total ,3rd year 73000 rs and 7000 hostel fee yearly. I'm a student of OBC(NCL) category, I get scholarship of 50000 rs+

Campus Life

3.5

The name of the annual and technical fest is phoenix and is typically help in September- October for 7-15 days . Wide range and accessibility of books and journals are available in the library. Every facilities and technology required Are available. Almost every sports and extracurricular activities are offered on campus.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facility is good with facilities required and 2 students shares a single room with balcony. Meal quality isn't that good. Registration process for hostel is quite simple and affordable. Locality is nearly 3-4 km from the campus for PG or rented room.

Admission

As per my ranking and category i have many options other than pt jnm raipur and cims bilaspur in Chhattisgarh but I choose GMC raigarh over GMC Jagdalpur and rajnandgaon because of various reasons 1st- location and patient load and then my comfort. Raigarh is a bigger city in comparison to jagdalpur and rajnandgaon and slightly nearer to me . And I already have some Freinds GMC raigarh before admission and it is more safe than GMC rajnandgaon and GMC Jagdalpur. Admission process is very simple and secure after allotment ,we should be ready with our documents for scrutiny in the college mentioned and get our documents varified along with required certificates and affirdavits. we have to clear NEET with marks required for selection which varies according to state , questions paper difficulty level , reservation category etc.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is really good in anatomy and biochemistry but bad in physiology for 1st year students. In anatomy 1 faculty demonstrate or teach 33 students and in dissection hall 1 faculty guids 10 students there are lots of faculty in anatomy as well as biochemistry. The faculty I liked the most is our Dr kundu sir as he likes discipline, professionalism and he is a perfect professor, honest ,excellent teaching skill with great communication, freindly, fearless and so on . In 1st year their are many internal exam like 1st internal and 2nd internal each of 150 marks per subject including half of syllabus and 1 pre University of 300 marks each subject with full syllabus and final one is University exam of total 900 including 300 marks each subject with 200 marks theory and 100 marks practical.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

If you're getting into MBBS, you have cleared neet and you have a slight idea of what you're getting yourself into. The subjects are tough, especially anatomy, because of the vastness of the subject. But if you're consistent and making lil efforts everyday, it's achievable without hampering the fun part of college life. Here are a few gem of resources that everyone uses for first year. Biochemistry - jambhulkar notes, Vasudevan/ satyanarayan book Lippincott for advanced studies Physiology - Sembulingam and Guyton. I swear by them. It doesn't get any simpler than this. Ganong for in depth studies Anatomy - Johari for exams Vishram Singh for easy to understand language and super simple diagrams Gray's anatomy for in depth understanding. Embryology - vishram Singh Histology - IB Singh Dissection - Cunningham or Mercy Navis There will be 2 terminal exams 1 pre University and then the final University. Don't rely on lectures to prepare you for this. You'll have to teach yoursel
