Course Curriculum Overview

In the first year, let me tell you there is no like interaction with patients but the teachers try to put up some cases in the classroom that make you judge the diagnosis and prognosis at least you get the idea. So definitely the curriculum is good.

Internships Opportunities

There is an internship program for one year in a hospital. Which teaches you to deal with actual patients and tasks. The amount interns get is quite less but it's not the college issue still you get to learn a lot.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is around 70k including the tution fee + library fee + hostel fee. The government of Chhattisgarh provides you an opportunity to get a scholarship if you are not able to pay the fees. The name of the scholarship program is cg postmatric.

Campus Life

You can access any book you want from the library with library cards provided by the college itself. Classrooms are comfortable which accommodating more than 100 students and with a mic system and smart board. The library is good.

Hostel Facilities

There are separate girls' and boys' hostels a room that is provided for 2 students in a room. There is a mess for only girls and also there is a canteen in the college. The distance of the hostel from the college is roughly 300 steps.

Hostel Fee: INR 7000 per year

Admission

As a Chhattisgarh resident, I got admitted to this college with my NEET score of 561. The cutoff was 560 approx that year for an obc student. For general candidates, it was roughly 566. Exams and tests are frequent.

Every subject has one HOD and 2-3 associate professors. We get to learn in different ways with different teachers. Additionally, we have senior residents. The college also provides PG courses. Teachers are always available when you need them.

Navigating Medical School: A Comprehensive Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as it was my parents dream and during childhood my paediatrician also inspired me to become a DR. This college has good faculties. In a subject department there is 1 HOD( head of department), 1 assistant professor,1associate professor, 2-3 demonstrator and many management workers. They are very helpful. Also there are 60 students so it is very helpful for students to understand what professor says. There is good communication between students and professors overall I would say a good bonding is there. All faculties MBBS graduated though some have done PHD also but they have good teaching experiences to make a student understand everything.There are 2 internal exams which are average to pass and one University exam in which you have to pass to go to next year. You have to give a supplementary exam if you fail the University exam or the final exam.

Remarks:

Best private medical college and hospital in Chhattisgarh. Provides good atmosphere to nurturing and growing minds. Out patient dept are full of patient every day. Students learn very well in well required libraries.

Overall this is a good college for MBBS No major negative remarks from my side except for some minors 1. Library is not 24*7 2. No swimming pool or Gym. 3. Student elections are not allowed. 4. No major funding for cultural events.

As per my ranking and category i have many options other than pt jnm raipur and cims bilaspur in Chhattisgarh but I choose GMC raigarh over GMC Jagdalpur and rajnandgaon because of various reasons 1st- location and patient load and then my comfort. Raigarh is a bigger city in comparison to jagdalpur and rajnandgaon and slightly nearer to me . And I already have some Freinds GMC raigarh before admission and it is more safe than GMC rajnandgaon and GMC Jagdalpur. Admission process is very simple and secure after allotment ,we should be ready with our documents for scrutiny in the college mentioned and get our documents varified along with required certificates and affirdavits. we have to clear NEET with marks required for selection which varies according to state , questions paper difficulty level , reservation category etc....Read More

The admission process was smooth. But there is a lot of process but here management was good so my admission was done in one day. I have NEET to enter this college.
