I applied for counselling by cgdme site for admission in mbbs.. then I got admission in ssims during 1st counselling in 2017. The counselling was held in pt. Jnm medical college in Raipur. After that, on the next day, I got admission to ssims.

I want to become a doctor so I chose MBBS. It was a bit difficult in the final year exams so regular studies are very necessary to get knowledge and pass the University exams and to get admission in neet pg.

Class Size: 150Course Fees: INR 576500 per year

Internships Opportunities

The stipend is 12600 monthly for one year after the final year of mbbs and there is also a yearly scholarship for obc candidates and scst students. The campus facility is not so good as for sports but it's okay.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my time the yearly fee was 576500 and the hostel fee was 125000 and the fees was of 4.5 years and during last year internship there is a 12600 monthly stipend after that there is the opportunity of the job as a JR.

There was a yearly fest advait held every year. The website is ssims.ac.in of college and has a students group for sports. There were no clubs in college. And there is Garba night held every year in s1.

Navigating Medical School: A Comprehensive Review

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main aspect that influenced me is the externals and clinicals that made by decision to take this course because more than theory is the postings and clinicals which are neccessary to become a good doctor and also helps you to gain confidence. This is not just a curriculum but is a priority academics that prepares a student to save ones life which is far more important than just learning or reading. And yes it prepares us very well through clinicals and postings in addition to theory lectures or exams. As per my view, improvements in posting durations is very important than theory durations due to the priority. And yes teaching methods may get improve if some more fresh cadavers may get introduced in college every year. Exam are held in two phases, 3 terminals and 1 final. 3 terminals are held whole year with 3 to 4 months gap and finals at the end of the semester which is the final exam. Terminals exams are easy and quick whereas finals are tough and time consuming.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course as it was my parents dream and during childhood my paediatrician also inspired me to become a DR. This college has good faculties. In a subject department there is 1 HOD( head of department), 1 assistant professor,1associate professor, 2-3 demonstrator and many management workers. They are very helpful. Also there are 60 students so it is very helpful for students to understand what professor says. There is good communication between students and professors overall I would say a good bonding is there. All faculties MBBS graduated though some have done PHD also but they have good teaching experiences to make a student understand everything.There are 2 internal exams which are average to pass and one University exam in which you have to pass to go to next year. You have to give a supplementary exam if you fail the University exam or the final exam.

Best Private Medical college and hospital in chhattisgarh

Remarks:

Best private medical college and hospital in Chhattisgarh. Provides good atmosphere to nurturing and growing minds. Out patient dept are full of patient every day. Students learn very well in well required libraries.

Overall this is a good college for MBBS No major negative remarks from my side except for some minors 1. Library is not 24*7 2. No swimming pool or Gym. 3. Student elections are not allowed. 4. No major funding for cultural events.

Life in SSIMS Bhilai

For UG - you have to pass 10+2 and secure sufficient ranking in NEET UG exam For PG - you have to have MBBS degree and secure sufficient ranking in NEET PG exam. Both are all india level entrance exam and are governed by different government bodies as per their rules. The exams are conducted once a year and are medium in difficulty level After securing rank in these examinations one have to apply to be in counseling for colleges and get selected for the same to get admission 80% of the seats are admitted through state counseling and remaining 20% is through All India counseling for which one has to apply seperately. SSIMS A value for money

The admission was through the counselling conducted by Chhattisgarh directorate general for medical education and Ayush University (CGDME) on the basis of the NEET score and rank, the qualification to be the part of counselling was NEET Qualification for the given category and since this college was a private so therefore seats were Government, Management and NRI having reservations in the categories too, Nowadays everything is online in the portal making us less tedious....Read More
