Course Curriculum Overview

Why I chose ECE is because I have interest plus the scope of Ece is increasing.Teaching method is good, in every classroom there's a smart board , projector . Exams are strict. You've to study well and try not to get any backlogs

Internships Opportunities

Many renowned companies had offered internship. As I've already mentioned earlier. I'm a new student joining from this year so I don't have that much knowledge about internship. In future I'll let you know

Placement Experience

The placement in my college is good as far as I know . In a year 98% of people get placement through college . Companies such as Amazon, google, Microsoft, Mercedes Benz, byjus and so on had visited .

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee per year is 296000. There are many scholarship available. There's a scholarship specially for Sikkim students I.e state quota . They get 50-55% concession on fees. Plus various other scholarships are there which is based upon your jee rank, single Girl child, handicap, bpl and so on. You can check on website .

Campus Life

Campus life in SMIT is worth . The biggest fest of Sikkim is KAALRAV. Co curriculum activities are excellent . There's a different block for sports which is known as MARENA. Each and every type of sports is there . Which you can play . All the books are available in library. Library atmosphere is excellent perfect place to study

Hostel Facilities

Two people will be sharing a room. The room consists of a bed, mattress, study table, chair, cupboard, attached washroom with a small room to dry your clothes . The food is good. Menu changes day to day . During admission you need fill the form for hostel accommodation. The fees for hostel is 135300.

Admission

Why I chose smit is because it's a renowned college in northeast. All the professors are are phd holders so there will be no doubt in studies l. If you have any problem you can openly ask your professors they'll answer politely. I had applied in LPU,CU,SARDA UNIVERSITY, NERIST . But still chose smit is because in other colleges the students are more plus the teachers won't be able to contact every student there will be less doubt clearing

If you want to approach any teacher then you can. Teachers are available for every student . There are many opportunities in smit. In my PoV every teacher is good , they try to communicate well and no doubt in class. There are 2 sessionals following 2 quiz and a semester exam. If you study well the paper won't be tough, if u don't study then it's obviously gonna be tough

first impressions

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for campus placements from 7th semester onwards. companies in which some of the big names are DELL, ACCENTURE, INFOSYS, STATE STREET, KEYSIGHT TECH . The highest package is 54 LPA (google) and avg package was around 4-5 LPA. 80% students get placements. my plan is to pursue m.tech

Placement is all about your preparation as opportunities come too much but if you have power then crack that one. Highest was going in 2024 batch is 44 lpa and 66 percent was placed as there are recession going on this time due to covid all market crases.

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem the campus placement starts so sutdents gets plenty of time to prepare for placements The company being visited to the campus includes Mercedes Benz India, Maruti Suzuki, Microsoft etc Hightest package ranges upto 33 lakhs and average include upto 5lakhs College offers 100% placements except Civil My plans is to get some of the working experience with the company being placed

Yeah replacement system I am not family or with this placement in all because had just recently join not just recently it's been like one and half year but also in placement system I am not focusing on that side because you know what I don't rely on this college I just need degree from this college and just want to be independent and search for job business on my own this collage is just waste of time still I am saying this tho I cannot do anything about this because I am already in second year so if I leave this college now I have no other option to do better option to do so I am I am stock in this college you can say and replacement system everything is just fine not so much good not

Placement Experience:

I do not have much idea about this field. If I'm not wrong internships begin from 2nd to 3rd year itself, and placements from 4th year. The avergae package here is around 6 LPA, and the highest package offered is 56 LPA. That'll be all from side.

Review of NIT Sikkim

Placement Experience:

If you are capable enough you will be getting decent placements, Overall placement statistics lies about 80-90% with an average pacakage of 9-10 lacs per annum including 90-95% for CSE, ECE. EEE and almost 80-85% for core branches like Mechanical and Civil. Some of major past recruiters are CDAC, CDOT, BEL, VEDANTA, DELOITTE, MAHINDRA, MARUTI SUZUKI, UKG, GENPACT, BPCL, L&T, ALSTOM, NVIDIA, MICROSOFT, SLB, TERADATA, CGI and many others. Highest pacakage for the batch of 2023-24 was 44 LPA by NVIDIA and average was around 9.95 LPA. From start of the 7th semesters , the students can register themselves for placements and from 5th semester onwards student can register themselves for internship opputunities. NIT Sikkim also provide opportunities of highes studies like PhD from reputed institutes like IIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi and some other prominent institutions as well.

SMIT a good option Option for collage If searching something near Northeast India.

Placement Experience:

The overall placement rate was around 90% the highest offered to passout student was INR 35 LPA furthermore The SMIT Average package stood at inr 6 LPA . We have Training and placement cell at sikkim manipal institute of technology to facilitate placement oppurtunities.

From 5 th semester student can apply for internships and after 6th semester they can apply for placements. The average package is 7 lakh per annum and highest is based upon recession and market structure. Last year one senior got 44 lpa package from Nivida.

NIT Sikkim overall review

Placement Experience:

Students become eligible from 7th sem and placement was good before but In this 2024 batch it's the worst placement of all time only 58% students got placement with less package because of recession Im looking for a placement and further plan is to work for a company

Joined wisely

I was selected in for Downtown university but for my personal ease i choose to study in SMIT. No i was not being rejecte form any colleges. Due to some of my personal problems i decided to joing SMIT as wishing to study at the college situated over my own state.
