Excellent institute with brilliant faculty

The classes were held promptly. Not anything significant to complain about the institute.

Unlike many other institutes, the curriculum was reviewed regularly and updated as per industry needs. Lab courses and exams are conducted seriously, which gives a good foundation to students for a career in research. Many of the students publish their major project work in reputed journals.

One of the best placement opportunities are provided by the institute. During my time I got placed in two of the leading MNCs so I would not complain..

The institute had the option to pay Fee annually or semesterwise as per the students needs. The fees was competitive when compared to other private and even some public institutions. Rupees 90,000 for one semester which included tuition fees, boarding and mess and food charges as well.

I did not opt for education loan. Scholarship was provided to the students who performed well in the class.

The campus is situated at the bank of Teesta river which makes it pleasant. The campus life was Excellent with Very green campus surrounded by the mountains. Gender ratio was engineering stream dependent. Frequent sports event, technical seminars and festivals were held.

Only two students were accommodated in a room with attached bathroom. 24 hr water supply and hot water supply during winters. Hostel premises were cleaned daily. A guard was present in the hostel campus 24×7. In the girls hostel female guard was there.

I am still in touch with my alma mater and seniors, who helped me a lot in my career progression. The alumni meet is conducted every year.

I got admission through an entrance test conducted by the institute which was conducted in the month of May. The test was conducted only once a year. The course started in July and was completed in four years. The test was reasonably competitive. I always interest in mechanical engineering and that was the primary reason behind me decision.

The faculty of the institute are brilliant, good at communication and receptive to students' needs. Along with the classroom teaching they give due importance to the laboratory work so that the students gain practical exposure. Time to time the teachers give career counseling.
