NITK : A student's Perspective on Education, Campus life and Beyond

Most of the Tier-1's college have same course curriculum and its designed a way that are relatable one sem to another. Even, other branche course being provided in our institute as an elective. where a student can choose such courses,if he is interested in it and Minor courses are being provided according to CGPA to create an interdisciplinary environment. According to me, the course curriculum made vivid (No need o anyy scope of improvement required ).The frequency of Quizzes are mad in such a way that it helps students t retain the knowledge of the particular course for a longer time.

In 5th sem Internship hunt begins , There are many reputed companies start recruiting from 5th sem till 6th sem . I want tto highlight few companies which provides a stiphen in between 90K- 1 lac are Texas ,microsoft ,oracle , Uber,Adobe, google, Goldman Sachs , Deshaw and there are around 20-30 companies which provide an avg stiphen about 60 K. Considering Chemical only few companies recruit during internship such as Exxon Mobill, Kongsverg digital and RIL. Which provide an average stiphen around 25k Even , bychance If you wont get an internship .you can loook for a researh internship under NITK Profs or u can cold Mail Tier -1 College profs. where u can gain expereince and learn somethiung .Which might be useful for placements.

In 5th and 6 th semester , students will get an opportunities for the companies during a summer break for an internship. where a student can grab an internship and can convert into a full Time role as a job (PPO) or else studentts can start their journey for capus placements in th sem and will be elgible for the company.Most of the companies elgible those students who are having CGPA above or equal to 7.Around 250-300 companies were recruited last year and Top companies are Google , Microsoft ,Uber and paulo alto and following companies recruit students by providing around 25 LPA are Oracle, Ring central ,qualcomm,texas ,Wells Fargo and more.. core chemical companies are Exxon Mobill , RIL ,kongsberg Digital Dr.reddys laboratory and PSU's. The Highest packaage in Chemical branch will be around 18 LPA and average salary will be around 10-12 LPA . which differ due to the circumstances . In Tech side Highest salary will be of 50_60 LPA and averaage salary will be around 25 LPA.

For Particular Semester the tution fees is 62000 .If your Income is less than 1 lakh for a OBC and EWS ,then tutuion fee is exempted . If your Income is in between 1 lac to 5 lac ten you need to pay 1/3 rd of tutio fees and If your fees is above 5 lac then you need to pay whole tution fees. Hosel fees is around 8k ,Whereas Mess fees is around 22K and Other miscellaneous such as Caution fees , sports fees , career development fee , Student activities fees and more will be around 20 k. Those who cant afford as this huge amount then they can think of about Loan from educational institute or Can apply for various scholarships sucha as Foundation of Ecellence ,reliance Foundation Scholarship ,NSP and SSP

In each there wiill be one fest , During Odd sem Technical fest is being orgnised " ENGI". where as cltural fest in Even sem "INCI". The culutural fest conducted by the NITIKans is the second best cultural fest in South India.Both fests will be lasted for 3 days and everyone enjoys a lot during fest with enthusiasim . Ambiance of INCI fest will be at its peak. In campus two Libraries are , one for accessing boks and journals .in the second library is for studying and having discussions . Seconf Library (e_lib) consists of Aca nd wide space. Sports and extracurricular activities is too good . In campus for every sport a ground is bing iintiated seperately. Starting from Tennis to Swimming pool and students can practice any game at any time. In NIts < every sem , there will be a competteion in between NITS as Inter NIT competetion. Extra curricular activities being promoted in indivuals , considering Music < Dance

Till 2nd year three room sharing is being accomodated .Later on, In 3rd and 4th year Single rooms are being alloted . Single rooms are too good and Newly built hostelsa are also too good.Hostel registration will e done onn NITK's portal named IRIS .Where, you need to pay fees and pay acccording to the institute decidedd amount , Which will be around 8k per sem . Whereas, Mess food is delicious some time, You caant expect better food in Autonomous Government colleges. Mess food fees will be around 25K Per sem. where You will be getting Breakfast, lunch, Snacks andd dinner. where Usual Breakfasts are being provided such as Idli ,Dosa , Vada and more .In Lunch Rice , curry, Curd ,Dal ,Pickle, Roti and Sambaris being provided and similarily in Night . But Sun, Wed and Fri you will ve getting special (Chicken in Diner ,Icecream in afternoon and Badam Milk during snacks)

So, Basically, I took admission from the entrance examination named JEE / IIT, So, apparently you just need to apply for it and prepare for it and u have to be confident to write u are exam. Jokes, apart JEE is one of the hardest entrance examinations around 10 lacs every year appear for the examination. Eligibility of the course is you have to complete your 12th standard or you can write your exam if u are still in 12th standard. The no of attempts is 3 for every student. To find the application form can visit JEEMains. Org and application fee is around 600 and application dates will be mentioned on the site. If you are in different reservations it will be beneficial. The cutoffs for the examination will be based on reservation. The admission process can be improved by extending dates if necessary for the students. And can be helpful if and students get more chances for application

If you consider a particular branch te no of students will be around 60 and no of professors can be around 20 .around 1/3 rd cn be expected ratio to the faculty and stuent. Most ,of the faculties are friendy in nature and help whenever a student have soubts in any of the course.Most of the profs create a proper ambiance in between student and himsef/herself.
