Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The couse curriculum is greatly designed for academics. But from a professional view point, the university doesn't provide a full 4 or 6 months for internship whereas other universities provide such opportunities to students. Therefore the graduates of this university have less technical expertise than graduates from other universities. But in the coming 2024 scheme there are several great improvement in the academics as well as in improving our technical and professional knowledge. In each semester there are two series exam and it's average is used for internal assessment. These series exam helps to keep in touch with the academics.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

I haven't attended any internship program, but the college and some clubs in college helps us to get internship. In an internship first we have a pay an amount to be enrolled in to it . Firstly, they provide technical classes and after that group us into several projects of well renowned companies. They also provide personal support for clarifying doubts. After the internship program they provide a certificate that can be used for attaining activity points and also in placement and other job interviews.

Placement Experience

3.5

Students are eligible for placement in the 7th semester. Some great companies such as TATA ELXSI,QBURST etc have come for placements in our college. Our department (CSE) and ECE department have good placement opportunities.Last year out 70 students of our department 20 students placed in several companies. But for other departments the placement opportunities provided by the college is poor.My plans after pursuing B tech is to do M tech in a primier institute to increase my technical knowledge.

Fees and Financial Aid

First year Fees(21,950) Tuition fees-9650 PTA Fees-7000 College Development Fund-1000 Bus fees-800(per semester) Exam fees-(3500) The PTA fees and college development fund need not to be paid in other years.I am a day scholar,so I am not using hostel facility.Hostel fees is around 3500(including mess). Also l am a general category student. So I can't avail the scholarships so I need to pay the full sum of the fees. But,the fees is not much of a burden . The are several governmental scholarships available such as e-grantz and central sector scholarships. The College will help and guide you for attaining scholarships.

Campus Life

4

They are several cultural and technical activities occuring regularly in the college.College support sports and extracurricular activities. Winning or participation of such activities provide you some activity points. There are several clubs such as g-bot, a robotics club ,IEEE,and ISTE clubs. Also there is NSS which organizers several programs. The college library has great number of technical books and also some literature books.Classrooms have modern equipments such as large touch display screens, projectors etc..

Admission

In the allotment process, I have listed this college as my top priority, because I am an inhabitant of Wayanad and also I didn't like to stay in hostel. And also this college has good infrastructure and technically great facilities and well qualified faculties .And also since it is a government college, the fees are very less compared to other colleges.

Faculty

4

The faculty of this college are well- qualified and educated from the top instutions. And some of the faculty have doctorate in their subjects Also they have great experience in their career. Most of the faculty have worked in better colleges like CET, trivandrum, GEC Thrissur,RIT Kottayam etc.. Teachers and other staff have a helpful and friendly approach to the students.Students also respect them.Exams are moderately difficult. In the second semester exam, 78% was our class pass percentage. The pass percentage of college's this year btech finalists is only 49%.
