My journey to my college

I applied to Delhi University, banaras hindu university and vanasthali vidyapeeth but my first preference was du only that too the top colleges like lsr , hindu college, miranda house, kmc,ramjas. I wasn't rejected anywhere . I had decent marks so I cleared the cut offs of all the colleges (that year admission was based on 12th percentage) .Among these I chose lsr becz of its first ranking in political science course. Lsr is one of the best colleges for humanities and commerce courses and for political science it is number one. And it's brand value , high placements also made me choose it. Now since the introduction of new education policy, admission is completely based on common University entrance test(CUET) . Cutoffs are high for lsr . It's usually more than 700 for all the courses. This is a laughing stock question for anybody who is in LSR. SRCC was also an option and I was getting that too but my parents wanted me to study in a girls college. Sociology means rare and LSR means you are among rare students who get to study there. Hence when you yourself are rare and getting a rare college why would you even consider any other option. However, one should be aware that for general category a minimum percentile of 98 in CUET is mandatory as otherwise one will never get admission here....Read More

For Psychology at DU, LSR is the best and with 98.2 percentile, I easily secured admissions at LSR. Earlier the cut-off was based on 12th results but now it's boil down to CUET score and without clearing that cut-off no one can get admission in LSR or any college of DU....Read More

I secured 99.2 percentile as one needs a minimum of 97 percentile to get admission here if they are from general category.
