Likes
- The best thing about LSR is the infrastructure. I find it so very beautiful and relaxing.
- The greenery. There are several gardens with green grass and beautiful flowers where you can come and relax with your friends.
- Next is the cleanliness. Every space is so clean and well-kept. There are trash bins around each corner.
Dislikes
- The old building. The benches there are very old and a bit rusty.
- There are no ACs and especially during exam time in may it is very hot.
- The auditorium is very small and hot with no AC or proper fans.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum is good and mostly inter-related. It composes of every aspect of the job we are interested in. The curriculum also includes different subjects from other department and if you have give exam for 7 semesters for one subject as your general elective, by the fourth year you will get a minor degree in that subject. Many commerce kids take economics or statistics.
Internships Opportunities
There is an internship policy which you need to sign in order to get internship offers from the colleges. Due to certain circumstances I couldn't, so I needed to get an internship through my own contacts. But few of my classmates got into good companies and worked well. I worked for a marketing firm where I helped them increase their engagement over social networks.
Placement Experience
Being in the placement cell, i can tell you we have a good structure where we are connected with various companies who come to LSR for on-campus recruitment. We help students build their CVs and give them various internship offers and if your performance is good and are selected then you'll be selected. LSR has ranked #1 in UG placement over the years.
Fees and Financial Aid
I paid in bulk only at the starting of the year. It was around 24,000 for me as i was from OBC category. I didn't have to pay any other fees after that. For general its only a little bit higher. I think around 25,000 . LSR fees has generally been withing 30,000 for all categories.
Campus Life
I love my campus life. everyone is sweet and you get to meet hundreds of new people with different lifestyle belonging to different states. Fests are so fun with different little shops, concerts performed by various bug artists and different activities.
Admission
I did apply to other colleges and was trying for a coed college. My first choice was SRCC and LSR was my second preference. I didn't get into SRCC because my cuet scores didn't make the cut-off. For admission you need to write the CUET exam and sign up in smarth DU site, then make a preference list and wait for the results.
Faculty
The faculty is great. There are atleast 7-8 professors for each department. I dont like few professors because they teach in a very boring manner but others are all good. It is all understandable. We have no mid term exams but only assignments and few class tests depending on the professor. we have only one final exam after each semester.
