What Students Say
Likes
- The college infrastructure is awesome, the environment is there, I loved how the students takes initiative to manage events, handle the classes or students in sports etc. few teachers were good
- It provided me with my railway pass benefit. My art was also appreciated there which I really loved.
Dislikes
- Few teachers were old school, they need to adapt as per the new age I feel.
- attandance was very low, so I was usually sitting with only 1 or 2 boys. I felt it should have been improved
Course Curriculum Overview
curriculum is moderately relevant, nothing too updated about today's environment. Its doable though, as the bases are covered pretty well. so you are prepared at basic level for further real world applications. Their teaching methods should be up to date with the new methods, they should integrate youtube more into studies. exams are half yearly and moderate, not too easy, not too hard
Fees and Financial Aid
Year wise I had paid Rs 4000, then 6000, then for the degree 3 years it was 8000, 10000, 12000. For General category students the fees were Rs 15000, 20000 for first 2 years, later for 3 years of degree, i do not know the details. There's a scholarship there as well, which I applied consistently for 3 years but the application was always rejected due to negligible reasons.
Campus Life
The dimensions is the annual fest which is handled by teachers and the students together. Its generally held in december. The library is filled with variety of books. I used to read bhagwadgeeta in there for awhile. For sports there was basketball equipments and volleyball equipments as well, there's a huge ground and ample space to play cricket, kabbadi and many more.
Admission
I applied for MCC at 2nd and bedekar at 3rd. I only got confirmation at kelkar as it was my first clg and I applied immediately. I chose it over other colleges, cuz it gives you more freedom than the other 2 mentioned above, i felt. Admission went quite smooth, the cutoff was around 86 and i had 91 in ssc so it went smoothly.
Faculty
faculty have numbers and so the students but the ratio seems fair enough, there's no shortage. I liked the faculties for Economics i.e. bhave sir especially. I personay didn't like maths faculty cuz most teachers were so uninterested in teaching. their teaching felt like a job and not a passion. exams are moderate, since I am doing CA, those exams weren't as hard for me, but almost 50% of students used to fail on sub like economics, maths. the curriculum is moderately outdated.
