Course Curriculum Overview

4

i would rate the course curriculum at kelkar as relevant and fairly comprehensive, i chose it for its balance of theory and practical applications, especially in subjects like VSEC pol sci , the subject prepares students well for real world scenarios and further academic pursuits .

Internships Opportunities

4

some of the companies which offered internships were younity which offered 14 days of experience to work as intern from work from home and get ceritficates as business development specalist and more companies which offer via their co curricular events

Fees and Financial Aid

when i joined kelkar vaze college , the fee structure varied by course and category (general , sc , st , obc) . here are fees : year-wise fee breakdown ( general category) : 1. first year: rs.31.200 (including rs.20k tuition , 2k caution deposit , 1.5k registration , and other compulsory fees) 2. second year: approx 32k 3. third year : approx 33k total: around 96k for 3 years reserved categories: 1.SC/ST student paid significantly less around 15k and 20k 2.OBC student paid around 20k - 25k scolarships : the college offers various scholarships like merit-cum-need scholarship , covering 50% of fees , and government scholarships for SC/ST/OBC students , there is also institutional aids and sports scholarships overall the fees are reasonable and increase gradually. the college provides good financial support , making education accessible to different categories of students.

Campus Life

5

my overall experience with campus life at kelkar vaze college has been enjoyable from a social perspective, the campus has vibrant student community with frequent events, festivals and more. common area is well maintained and college provides enough spaces for students to socialize.

Admission

i chose kelkar over other colleges like somaiya and ruia because of its strong faculty , affordable fees and good balance of academics and extra curriculars. while i was accepted at somaiya , kelkar had better faculty and courses. the admission process at kelkar was straighforward , minimum cutoff in 12th and admission based or merits , overall process was smooth , completely online only once selected to pay the fees offline

Faculty

4

at kelkar the faculty to student ratio is good , allowing for personal attention. most prof are approachable like prof. vishakha maam who made learning engaging and practical. the course structure is well-organsied , blending theory and practise , though some updates are needed to reflect industry trends. exams are moderatly challenging, with two major ones per sem and internal assesments , viva and co -curricular activities due to the NEP. most students pass around 5-10 % struggle

Quite substandard and below average. Prioritised rote learning over critical thinking. Just a rubber stamp for a degree. No actual education ever took place. Exams were anually or bi annually. Exams were difficult if you cannot write 30 pages in 3 hours.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculam is designed for all round development of the student and to make that person an expert in that field, these aspects influeneced me to choose it. Very well, with extra paper of real world application on each subject it ensures that we take something from the course and become industry ready The teachings methods and cirriculam are excellent I don't think any changes are required Exams are all year round, every month and are extremly difficult to deal with, as Xavier's bar is very high.

Yes, there is no specific place where we get to know that whether the college is open or not on a specific day like the day which has been declared closed by the government. The college doesn’t provide this facility for us. We have to move all towards our home to the college to get this thing.
