Remarks

This college guarantees placement into multinational hotel companies like Taj, Mariott, ITC, etc. Apart from placements, the student grows on a personal level. The admission process is a bit tough. Going through three stages of selection beginning with a 1500 word Statement of Purpose for joining the course, then having a group discussion and the last step includes a personal interview with the faculty of the college. The main reason for preferring this college is the placement criteria it provides plus it also has an affiliation with the University Of Huddersfield, and students can opt-in the third year to go and study there. The exposure gained from this college is also an advantageous experience for future life. Most of the websites will tell you about joining this college, as it comes under the top 3 hotel management colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

The qualification of the faculty is up to date and they are highly qualified. The faculty have immense knowledge about the course and disperse that knowledge at its full potential theoretically as well as practically. This course is likable for those who have an interest in culinary and hotels. They should have an interest in the working of a hotel, strategies to gain profit and tackle losses, etc. The written exam is taken annually, but there are a lot of assignments where quality and original research is required. If you have an interest in this course then assignments and exams will seem like learning and you will pass. The exam and assignments are a bit difficult but the faculty resolves all doubts so it becomes easy eventually.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The companies are usually five-star hotel companies selecting students for the role of assistants and junior managers. These roles are usually taken for 2 to 3 years after which the student gets enough exposure and experience to be able to promote for another job such as restaurant manager or front office manager. The stipend ranges from 20000 to 30000 in the first year of internship. But it changes from company to company.

Placement Experience

3.5

The fourth-year is an internship where basically in the third year placements are taken. 100 percent placement is done. 4 main multinational companies come which are Taj, Mariott, Hyatt, and Intercontinental. The average package consists of 20000 to 30000 monthly. The highest package ranges above 70000.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is high. It is 500000 per annum and it is a 4-year course. But it includes IT services, hostel, cafeteria, library and more. The money spent is worth with also the job being placed. Depending on how well a person does, jobs are placed. An average person gets an assistants job where the salary ranges from 25000 to 30000 per month. If you do well in the interview your post can be a level or two up. The jobs placed are secured and increment and promotions are given over the course of time.

Campus Life

4

There are a total of 8 clubs in the institute. There is a sports club, art club, community outreach club, tech club, dance club, movie club, drama club, music club. Freshers are the annual fest where juniors are introduced and many students perform. It takes place in October month. There is a vast library with over 1000 books interesting to the student. Apart from the that university of Huddersfield also provides an online library which is also as big as the institutes. With two projectors and benches to support 120 students the classroom is full of amenities. Blackboards soft boards everything is there. Sports are played a lot. Football, cricket, basketball volleyball, badminton, etc are played in the hostel as well as the college ground.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

There are 4 meals provided which include breakfast lunch snack and dinner. PG is usually not taken by any student as the hostel provides all the amenities. Wardens are very helpful and caring and they protect and help the students at all costs.

Admission

There are three steps to get yourself enrolled in this college. Applicants have to write a 1500 word statement of purpose for joining this institute. Then a group discussion is taken place. After which a personal interview with the dean and principal is held.

Interview Experience

3

The statement of purpose topic was why did I chose this course and eventually this institute. We had to write 1500 words in 20 minutes. After that, a group discussion took place between a panel of 10 students. The topic was after 10 should there be mandatory junior college or students can opt for graduation courses directly. Applicants were given 5 minutes to prepare and jot down their points after which a person had to speak for 2 minutes. A personal Interview was taken with the dean and principal where they asked you questions about you and your family. Then about the course selecting this institute and about your future.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The English Department faculty is renowned in the entirety of Mithibai. The course curriculum is adequate, so I wouldn't want to change much about it. We have carefully planned out the teaching methods employed in our classrooms every year. One of our teachers, for example, would like us to read the material one or two days prior to the day we would discuss it on.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was always interested in Psychology which is why I opted for this course. Social psychology was especially very interesting to me. The curriculum is good when it comes to future prospects of giving competitive exams. However, it doesn't prepare you a lot for real-life applications as much. The course can definitely include more practical experiments which would make the subject more interesting. Better assignments/projects would also be beneficial. The exams were twice in a year. They weren't very difficult and easy to clear if one studied the portion well. However, I do feel that the exam pattern could be more application-based.
