Reviewed on Jan 24, 2022(Enrolled 2019)

Remarks

There is no cutoff or percentage requirement all it takes for a person to pass the entrance to the institute is SOP statement writing, Group Discussions, and Personal interview round! The college has its own customized selection process and judges one on capabilities and not marks.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty here is highly professional and has a background of working with big players of the hotel industry. Faculty Student ratio is good and there is always a mentor to guide and help each and every student personally.

Class Size: 20Course Fees: INR 500000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Taj comes in for Marketing, Housekeeping, Front office, and other hotel-related areas where a student can join in according to his interest. Marriott also comes in with the same job roles but slightly offers a higher stipend.

Placement Experience

4.5

4th-year students are sent on the internship and are selected by big players like Taj and Marriott. At intern level they are offered around 20-30k and it keeps increasing as they progress. 100% placements is what campus claims and it is somewhat true.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is around 5 Lakhs per year which includes everything from hostel, food and educational charges. Students get placements from the campus itself from big players like Taj and Marriott. Hence the fees is worth paying If one wants to get selected in a big company.

Campus Life

3.5

The library is wholesome and has a lot of books you won't ever be able to read all. Every festival is celebrated be it Christmas, Lohri, or Holi. Sports are played after campus hours i.e. 9-6. Various clubs like music club, drama club, and tech club are run within the campus.

Hostel Facilities

The hostel is very huge and has plenty of space for students. The playing area is separate and washrooms are cleaned every 12 hours. Meal quality is the best to date as they provide chicken or paneer every second day.

Hostel Fee: INR 100000 per year

Interview Experience

Group Discussions is one of the main tests of getting into the college the topics given are based on current affairs for example. Women entrepreneurship and empowerment. Preparation is by seeing videos online and getting involved in mocks.

The Sittings accross the campus is really student friendly
Canteens were supper affordable for students for food accessibility

Dislikes

The cordination given by management of college, They were so rude all the time idk y

Course Curriculum Overview:

Literature gave me insights to the history and a different pov on the situations happened Literature sharpens the thought process we can have in real world scenarios which are quite unique tbh. Its just too much of theory, if could update it and make it somehow relavent to today situation, it would be fun learning it

SPC from a TYBA students POV

Likes

Kalamandal (like theatre club), it’s a different world and it’s magical.
December to March is the college fests time and it’s super lively and fun
Psychology, Sociology & Philosophy departments have amazing professors. They’re smart, helpful and actually care for their students

Dislikes

Except for Psyc, Socio& Philo other departments are awful specially the English department. The HOD herself speaks horrible English and doesn’t even know any books of jane Austin besides pride and prejudice.
The toilets are horrible and never clean and are barely open even. The canteens are also okayish at most.
The management and accounts department are horribly slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's good, it's fun and I enjoy it. It changes every sem and that's why we also get to explore more of the subjects. It also depends on the professor tho. First year is to chose 6 different subjects and explore. Then second year you get to choose one major and two minors. Major are then divided into 3 parts, the 2 minor subject are elaborated and one compulsory subject which is English, this continues for third year. There are 2-3 additional subjects that change every sem too like PE, EVS, etc.

Aditya paul's Review On Institute of Hotel Management, Aurangabad

This college guarantees placement into multinational hotel companies like Taj, Mariott, ITC, etc. Apart from placements, the student grows on a personal level. The admission process is a bit tough. Going through three stages of selection beginning with a 1500 word Statement of Purpose for joining the course, then having a group discussion and the last step includes a personal interview with the faculty of the college. The main reason for preferring this college is the placement criteria it provides plus it also has an affiliation with the University Of Huddersfield, and students can opt-in the third year to go and study there. The exposure gained from this college is also an advantageous experience for future life. Most of the websites will tell you about joining this college, as it comes under the top 3 hotel management colleges....Read More

It is considered to be the best for my course, the practical knowledge that they provide is amazing, as the a part of University of Huddersfield, UK the degree they provide is international. The students are converted from silly teenagers to intecual and responsible adults which are capable of joining the hospitality industry. Te groom standards and communicative skills taught and different from any other normal college. A person entering IHM Aurangabad will be a manager material with business knowledge rather than just being a intern with minimilistic knowledge....Read More
