Course Curriculum Overview

2

As I'm a CS student, I have started this course as medium for my graduation for doing college. i barely go to college as being focused on my other course. But as far as I've seen the faculties must improve some aspects of the curriculum and have a great relationship with students, when the student is unable to speak in any internals the faculties must not only listen but sometimes correct them with a little push which might help them and complete there work

Internships Opportunities

4

For the bcom students various CA firms internships are provided for sem 4 cleared students which is around 4000-5000 at initial stage. It covers duration of 3-6 months accordingly. The CA firms provides opportunities to work with MSMEs and also focuses on youth for internship after exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

As being a bcom student our college fee is around 11750 and it includes all the cost incurred such as admission fees development fees etc this covers everything with all the provided facilities like library, books borrowing from the library etc. It also gives a benefit to minors by scholarship programs like post matric government scholarship for categories like SC, ST ,OBC etc which is stated as per maha dbt open registration. The overall course and facilities provided according to this amount is definitely fair enough to me as my college not only focuses on learning but also has extra curriculum and events which makes it a fair deal

Campus Life

4

Our college fest name is DIMENSIONS which is held at dec end and has an amazing management and makes participate every student and gives them chance as there are different clubs included for the hosting of event and interviews or auditions are taken to enter a particular club. The college has 2 library and has wide range of books provided for references and studying material. The college provides various social groups NSS camps and many programs which can enhance the intelligence and productivity of any students , it also provides reading hub and various smalls events to make the students flexible accordingly

Admission

I did applied for MCC i.e mulund college of commerce and somaiya college and I did got in both the college but as kelkar college was convenient for me according to my schedule i preferred it over any other colleges. Aslo my college has a great event management which makes its more exciting for a college life. The admission process was clearly easy and simple as it was done all through electronic mode in the college website, the cutoff of my course was around 90 and for other minor categories it was different. After checking the cutoff limit you have to fill the application form and submit it to the college office along with certificates and documents that are necessary for the college admission.

Faculty

2

According to me there are different kinds of faculties and each and everyone differ from eachother, some are strict and some are jolly with the students. But most of them are chilled and makes everything comfortable. while some faculties makes difficult for students while submitting assignment or giving internals. there are overall 6 semester exams in the whole course which includes 6 internals examination with presentation assignment stuffs and 6 external examination with only written exams, as in one semester both internals and externals average is considered and as per the passing marks are given. In my course around 30-40 students might fail the exam (not a accurate no.) Overall the course curriculum is vast and diverse, which includes all the factors and enhance the quality

Night Life

1

As my college is at morning i haven't experienced the night life but the after college life is just wandering at the campus or being at the canteen which makes everything better. There is a place just outside the gate for having something to eat

Placement Experience:

At TCSC placements are quite good as anyone. Even the SOBO colleges and Mithibai don't have placements as good as us. So this is why I always dreamt of studying here because since last 6-7 years, Thakur College placements have gone better and higher.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The B.com is not a very comprehensive and complex degree to complete for someone who wants to pursue his/her career in finance. It can be referred as an initial start or push start for one's finance journey over the years. Also the relevance of B.com in real world is gradually decreasing day by day.

Placement Experience:

From semester 5, you become eligible for final placement and semester 3 for internship placement. many companies like Nykaa, Myntra, Duetsche Bank, Morgan Stanley, Deloitte, Zomato, Beerbiceps and more have visited. the highest package in history is 38 lakh per annum. The average is 8-9 lakh per annum. Around 70% of students get the college placement. My plan is to start my own business after college. I am although doing internships through college. Already done one in Beerbiceps and one in chorus call.

Remarks:

The good thing is that the college was not strict and was never forcing us to study rather it was seeing to it that it gave us proper advice and help us reach more towards my career goal. The bad part would be there were may staff which was very dull and was not kind, and no importance was given to correct their behaviour although it was evident by all.
