Detailed KIIT B.Tech IT review

The curriculum is moderate in difficulty and you can keep up with the course if you study consistently. The Information Technology course is software oriented and trains us for the industry. The exams are sometimes not evenly spaced and sometimes the pressure is a bit high but it is not very hard. The course can be more well planned otherwise it is up to the mark.

Fees: tuition fees: 1,92,000 rs per semester registration fees: 75000 at time of admission no different charges for any category the tuition fees was 175000 for students who enrolled in 2023. There is a merit scholarship of 10,000 per month for students who rank under 1000 and have atleast 75% marks in boards. The scholarship is stopped if the student doesnt maintain 8+ cgpa and minimum required attendance throughout course. Financial aid is provided each year to students from KISS and they also study in the course.

There is a Fest every year called KIIT Fest and a lot of other events are constantly going on throughout the year hosted by the student clubs and technical societies. The Library is equipped with the latest technologies and is a delight to be in. All the course books are available and a lot of other reference books also. It is more than enough for the course preparation and industry preparation also.

There are 6 varities of rooms available in hostels with varying prices. Double bed AC - ?60000 Three bed AC - ?50000 Double bed Non AC - ?50000 Double bed AC premium - ?70000 Three bed AC Premium - ?60000 The premium hostels are equipped with personal washrooms and the normal hostels have a common washroom. The rooms are provided with a bed, table and wardrobe for each student and mess fees is 20500 per semester. After the course registration, a form is sent for opting the type of hostel and student can select as per their requirement. The meal quality in the mess is not up to the mark but the menu is good. Non veg is served almost daily and biriyani is served in friday dinner. The hygiene and taste is like most other messes.

The admission process is very smooth. You can find the application form, fees and dates on the KIITEE website and register there. There are no reservation benefits There are three phases of the KIITEE exams done over a period of three months. The exam is fairly difficult and the percentile is revealed in the result. After that you enroll for the counselling and later on recieve the rank card. There is not much improvement required in the admission process and it is up to the mark.

The teachers are very experienced and helpful and thr faculty to student ratio is also good. They all have PHDs and research work and most are very knowledgeable and are keen to guide the students. They are very approachable and you can interact with them at any given point of time.
