Eligibility Criteria
Aspirants seeking admission to 4 year Full-time B.Tech Program should meet the following criteria as specified by the institute.
Academic Requirement:
- Candidate should Pass in 10 +2 or its equivalent with at least 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics taken together.
- Should have studied in regular full time formal education in their schooling/college.
Entrance Exam:
Candidates must qualify KIITEE entrance exam.

- campus area we have a huge and varid no of campus so travels from 1 campus to another make it fun with friends
- ksac it is a hub of many different society's which helps improve personality and make it fun interaction with seniors
Dislikes
- hostel intime are very less hence it it very difficult to have any night life as a collage student
- lecture timings and very hectic and continues with any break most of the time
Course Curriculum Overview:
kiit in my views is very well updated with the world in the standard of their cource curiculum and provide a very new and updateded teching method most of the time it teacher depending and the time of exam are paced very good and well as thier difficulty level

- The hostel life is good with good rooms and clean washrooms.
- The campus life here is very good, no sign of ragging can be seen, campus is full of greenery with gardens .
Dislikes
- The mess food can be more better than what it is now.
- Some wardens are very aggressive, they will try to frame you of something you haven't done.But this is an an exception most of them are very cooperative and good natured.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculam consists of 360 degree study program which allows you to have knowledge outside of your course.The course is actually very good regarding its field.The exam difficulty is moderate and one can score really well if given a little effort.

- the faculty is very nice and experienced. They are mostly helpful and help in domains suchas research and other co curriculars
- the infrastructure is state of the art and very good to experience. buildings and laboratories are equipped with the latest technology.
Dislikes
- The hostels are very strict and hand out huge fines for very minimal misdemeanor. The in-time of the hostels is also very less.
- The placements are not up to the mark and the average package is very low. The training and placement cell is not highly active.
Course Curriculum Overview:
The curriculum is moderate in difficulty and you can keep up with the course if you study consistently. The Information Technology course is software oriented and trains us for the industry. The exams are sometimes not evenly spaced and sometimes the pressure is a bit high but it is not very hard. The course can be more well planned otherwise it is up to the mark.

- The campus life is great as the college is so big its was a great campus experience
- There are many other options for extra activities
Dislikes
- The timing of the hostel entry it was so restricted
- And for girls staying in hostel have to leave the library after 10 Pm
Course Curriculum Overview:
The subjects that we studied till now is relevant it's according to latest syllabus for the course i persuade the subjects are more practicaly explained like with coding .The problem was that the Sem was short end sem was within 1 month after mid semester

- Very huge campus with lots of trees and fress air.
- Zero ragging campus for new comers . Seniors are too good with juniors.
Dislikes
- Food is not too good . There is no such seperate section for vegetarian.
- Hostel has huge restrictions on students( very heigh fine).
Course Curriculum Overview:
Course curriculum is quite decent. I love to code and want to learn different programming language so I decided to do computer engineering. 1st year curriculum should include more programming language and should exclude medical field subjects. 2 exams per semester with moderate difficulty level

- Campus life is good and Greenery everywhere.
- Sports facilities are decent with hardworking coaches.
Dislikes
- Mess food is quite very bad in some hostel.
- Too many Restriction in the hostels(many fines)
Course Curriculum Overview:
The course curriculum is quite good in my opinion. I have interest in coding so I choose computer science for engineering. The first year curriculum is quite decent but after first year the curriculum improves . The first year curriculum should include more programming languages and medical field subjects should be reduced. One semester consists of two exam that is mid sem and end sem and the difficulty level of exam is moderate
Likes
- Campus life is good as area is big with around 6000 acres including Kim's and kiss with cafes and parks everywhere.
- Sports facilities are very good , I play football and I have seen around 6 grounds untill now which regularly are watered and maintained.
Dislikes
- Hostel food sometimes is just unbearable to eat and I have to go outside forcibly for lunch
- Some people are little too woke , and can't find them very likeable.
Course Curriculum Overview:
I was interested in IT sector so opted for this course. 1st year has many unnecessary subjects like biology , biomedical engineering etc. which were hard to study as no scope is in this subject in the future for us. We have one mid sem and one end sem in each semester. Quizes and assignments were given regularly. Personally I would love to see these subjects get removed from the course entirely.

- It has very supporting faculties and it also give very good research facilities
- The Campus is huge I think you cant explore all the Campuses in your 4 years
Dislikes
- The Mess Food is not quite upto the mark According to my taste
- The students here are at times very distracted

the course curriculum has practical knowlege and is as per the market needs . kiit provides labs which helps in gaining practical knowledge . Labs are equipped with latest equipments and lab teacher are well trained. Examination take place in offline mode.

Which should I join, IT KIIT or CSE, at Amrita?
Joining KIIT will be a better option. The institute gives students the freedom to explore the things that interest them. It’s easy to score good grades with a little bit of effort. So, you will have a lot of time on your hand to explore and learn.
The institute offers good placements. Top MNCs like Microsoft, CodeNation, Amazon, Vmware, Directi, etc. are among the major recruiters that take part in KIIT placement. According to recent placement highlights, students of KIIT received an average CTC of around INR 6.05 LPA.
What should I choose? CSE from "KIIT University" or IT from "College of Engineering and Technology, Bhubaneswar"?
It is suggested you choose CSE at KIIT University. One of my friends studied there. According to him, there is no comparison between the branch of KIIT CSE and CET.
- The companies visiting KIIT include major names such as Microsoft, Amazon, SAP, Dell, Intel, HP.
- Placements are one of the things you must check before entering a university. KIIT offers good investments.
- The entire academic and non-academic exposure at KIIT is far greater.
- The faculty members are qualified from IITs and top NITs. They are skilled and cooperative.
