BBA experince in KIIT

The campus gives a very academic vibe to it, which makes it easier to Stay and study the whole day.
The open space around the campus makes our mind relaxing after hectic day.

Dislikes

You have to walk at least 200–300 m from parking to class, which can make you late in the morning time.
The corridors are very small, so it gets very tight while busy time.

Faculty:

Most of the faculty members are from well-to-do family and they have a doctorate degree. Some of them do PhD from KIIT University itself and get their working experience done by teaching us. Moreover, they are very understanding. They are very well experienced and they give you a practical knowledge of the world rather than just asking you to be in the Books.

Good connectivity throughout campus by using bus
Good classroom and laboratory infrastructure.

Dislikes

Crowd management can be bettered.In big events,often crowd is not managed properly.

Faculty:

One teacher teaches around 80 students in a section.They explain concepts with relevant pyqs.They also organize doubt clearing classes in the weekends for students who fail to understand the concepts in class due to any reason.

Likes

It is a no ragging campus. It is a place where we can do social interactions and create our groups or community to reach out to many people. Making friends is also easy here..(but be careful of the high class genzs). You can grow your connections
Placement scenario is also decent here as companies tend to visit the campus and bulk hiring is done. It is an epicentre for sports activities and physical fitness. Many events are also organized to keep the students mind fresh.

Dislikes

The food of the hostels depend upon the hostel..So it is a luck factor that how good the hostel you get

Faculty:

Mainly all the faculties have done phd and mtech and doing some research work sidewise. So the teaching staff and faculties are good. Just attend the classes take notes and revise the pyqs. Sorted. Approaching a faculty is easy in KIIT as they are very friendly and helpful also. You can visit the faculty website of KIIT University to learn more about them. Interaction with the faculties is also smooth. But try to get a guide faculty throughout the college so that he/she would help you to get you know the process of placement and important events going on in the college.

Faculty is very good if you are present in class and taking active interest in learning
Social events, fests, competitions, international exchange programs are too good. Good for campus life.

Dislikes

Mess food is not upto the mark sometimes.
Wardens barely cooperate with requests and you'll get priority if youre an oriya

Faculty:

Every subject is taught by a subject matter expert with a specialisation degree in that subject. Some of the faculty is quite helpful and you can even contact them outside of the classroom, visit their respective offices for doubt clearing and even call them after college hours. Some teachers teach off presentations while others break every topic down to help the students understand better. The questions in the exam come from notes given in the classroom itself so I would say teacher's notes are important. There are 90 students in my class and there are two mentors who supervise the overall well being of every student, including academic and social growth. The first Saturday of every month we have a mentor-mentee meeting where we can address our issues to our mentors and they look into that matter. Overall my faculty members have been quite helpful.

Faculty personally get in touch with the students and help them out with whatever problem they face .

Elite Law Education at its Best : KIIT School of Law reviewed

The area the college is in, along with the infrastructure of the college. .
The facilities in the hostel are also great

Dislikes

The mess food is little too spicy, at times too bland. It has a scope of improvement.

Faculty:

One class size is about 90. The classroom has smart boards which enable the professor to teach such a large size of class efficiently. The faculty has adopted a very student-friendly approach to teaching subjects under the Law. Through fun activities and assignments, that also carry our internal marks, and games and videos in the classroom, students are being made to understand difficult topics. Most of the faculty members are NLU graduates, Graduates from foreign law universities, etc.

A diversity of students with different perspectives about academics and life. This helps you become a versatile personality and accept differences of opinion while working together in a team.
The college is full of luxury and great infrastructure, which constantly motovates you to work hard to sustain and improve same lifestyle with your own earnings and not have to be financially dependent on parents.

Dislikes

Finding similar minded people who look forward to hustel as much as you in life is difficult, so you need to remain motivated on your own.
Descent faculties in terms of teaching, and it'd be helpful if you constantly remain in touch with them.

Faculty:

Most of the teachers are open to interaction and always look forward to help students in all aspects. But as per my personal experience, most of them are well qualified but might not be able to teach a topic the best way despite trying the best of their potential. Overall, they are respectful and helpful.

The attitude of most of the teachers is very helpful and are ready to help if you lag behind
The infrastructure is fantastic with great libraries and labs

Dislikes

The course fee which is quite high and requires loan to fulfill
The huge number of students make the college very densely populated and creates a very high competition during placements

Faculty:

Most of the teachers are very helpful and would go out of thier ways to help you out if you are unable to understand, and on special request they would even help you out after class hours if younare struggling with any topic pr lagging behind for some reason

The facilities like the game facilities as KIIT has my open stadiums and also indoor stadium for variety of games.
The clubs and societies KIIT has are a great source of improvements for the social skills and also in networking with other people and improvises the communication skill and talent of the student

Dislikes

I personally feel the fees they charge for B. Tech degree is bit more pricey and i don’t feel that an under graduate student should pay this much amount for a degree.
I know every student doesn't push himself/herself that much to get a good placement but still there are many who hard and still not getting the placement they truly deserve

Faculty:

The faculties at KIIT are very cooperative, even though some of them are very excellent at teaching and some are kind of poor at it but everyone will understand your problem once you convey them and they will surely find a way to help the student out. And i should say the teacher-student interaction at KIIT is very good.

Who are the best professors at KIIT University?

As per my opinion, Amulaya Ratna Swain Sir and Arup Acharya Sir are the best teachers in the CS department. The former teaches Data Structures & Algorithms, while the latter teaches Software Engineering Concepts.

Their dedication towards teaching is worth every praise, and their unique teaching style always amazes me. Their lectures are truly worth attending. They are, according to me, two of the best professors at KIIT.

Which B.Tech Branch is the best at KIIT Bhubhaneswar in terms of faculty and placements?

If you are enquiring In terms of placements then obviously CS is the best BTech branch not only in KIIT Bhubaneswar but in every engineering college.

Out of the total recruiters, the majority seek only CS students so their placement opportunities are clearly better than students of other branches. This is exactly why many students of core branches learn coding to apply for CA companies.

Other branches that are good options include ETC Mech automobile, IT, etc. However, ETC has tough core subjects like AEC and SD in the second year that might affect your CGPA.

My personal opinion would be to give maximum preference to CS. For this, you need to study hard and work on your coding skills and you will get a job that will help you replay the money you have spent.

Generally, with the right mindset and hard work, every branch has its own benefits and it’s a matter of personal preferences.

KIIT University is a reputed institute with highly qualified and experienced faculties from various fields of study. The university is known for its academic rigor, emphasis on research, and focus on industry exposure. The studying environment is student-centric, with modern infrastructure, well-equipped laboratories, libraries, and other academic facilities. The university also provides various extracurricular activities, clubs, and events that promote overall development and help students achieve their goals.

Unofficial sources report the highest and average packages offered at KIIT are INR 62 LPA and INR 8.5 LPA respectively. Of the 2,800 BTech students, 2,600 have already been placed by top recruiters with 1,100 receiving multiple job offers.

Over 250 companies have participated and made 3,600 job offers with 82 companies offering an annual package of more than INR 10 LPA.
