College faculties are really supportive. If you are eager to learn something the help . 1:50 is the faculty to students ratio . However teachers are friendly with every students . We can directly visit their cabin for doubt during the working hours . Though all faculty members are good , but the one I liked the most is Amulya Ratna swain sir . He is very professional and teaches in a manner that if a student is listening his word his concept will get cleared. He is very enthusiastic and friendly with everyone with zero ego. In my opinion he is the best faculty of our college. There are two exam in a semester one is midsem and other is endsem. Midsem is of 20 marks and endsem of 50 marks . Rest 30 marks is internals that teacher gives based on class performance. Semester exams are not so hard and you can easily score 9 cgpa if you attend class regularly. Course is relevant.

Student Snaps:

Faculty:

The faculty-to-student ratio at KIIT University is approximately 1:15 to 1:20, which is reasonable for a private university. The faculty–student relationship is generally formal but approachable, especially if students take initiative. Some professors are very supportive during office hours and are open to mentoring for projects, internships, and higher studies guidance. Faculties like Dr. S. K. Dash and Dr. P. K. Sahu (from core CSE subjects) stood out due to their strong subject knowledge, clear explanations, and willingness to help beyond regular classes. However, the overall faculty quality is mixed. While many teachers are knowledgeable, some rely heavily on PPT-based teaching and focus more on syllabus completion than practical understanding. I did not find certain faculty members very engaging due to a lack of industry exposure and interactive teaching methods, though naming individuals may not be fair as experiences vary by section. The course structure is well-organized and covers core subjects like Data Structures, DBMS, OS, CN, and Software Engineering, making it relevant for placements and higher studies. The exam system follows a semester pattern with two mid-semester exams, internal assessments, assignments, lab evaluations, and one end-semester exam. Exams are moderately difficult; clearing them is manageable with regular study, and the failure rate is relatively low (mostly due to poor attendance or lack of preparation). The marking scheme is balanced between internal and external evaluations, but consistency in internal marking can vary across faculty.

The cost of bringing so many scholars at one place I don't know what it takes but KIIT management should be credited whole heartedly for that. If Kerala is God's own country then KIIT is God's of faculties. From over 1000+ published articles of them they are arguably the major sought after faculties one will ever see.

There are over 100 faculties . They are very friendly and approachable. Many of them are IITians and IIMians . So their knowledge about everything is a plus point . My favourite professor is Abhishek sir . He is an amazing professor. he taught us marketing . He also helps students with their resume building etc since he is very experienced. The professors have strong networking and connections and they help students during placement season . They groom us pretty well for corporate . There are total 6 semesters . And 6 midsems . 5-10% students have backs in their semesters otherwise rest definitely pass the exams with flying colours. the course curriculum is pretty relevant to real life .

Which B.Tech Branch is the best at KIIT Bhubhaneswar in terms of faculty and placements?

Ishani BandyopadhyayStudied at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology

If you are enquiring In terms of placements then obviously CS is the best BTech branch not only in KIIT Bhubaneswar but in every engineering college.

Out of the total recruiters, the majority seek only CS students so their placement opportunities are clearly better than students of other branches. This is exactly why many students of core branches learn coding to apply for CA companies.

Other branches that are good options include ETC Mech automobile, IT, etc. However, ETC has tough core subjects like AEC and SD in the second year that might affect your CGPA.

My personal opinion would be to give maximum preference to CS. For this, you need to study hard and work on your coding skills and you will get a job that will help you replay the money you have spent.

Generally, with the right mindset and hard work, every branch has its own benefits and it’s a matter of personal preferences.

Is KIIT a good college in terms of education and faculty?

Salini Dasguptastudied at Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (2020)

Yes, KIIT is a great college in terms of both education and faculty. One of my friends completed his BTech in Civil Engineering from KIIT and was glad of his decision. The faculty base comprises a mix of highly learned professors and fresh post-graduates generally from IITs or other reputed colleges. But the major issue here is the quality of students getting admission here. KIIT usually averages students who could not make it into other engineering colleges.

No matter how good the teachers are, the level of education can never be great if the students are average and have no interest in studying. Because of the luxurious life the institute offers, students have started taking faculty and education in general for granted. They can be seen frequently skipping classes and exams. This carefree approach toward studies is causing major problems and is destroying the academic ambiance as well as the career of many.

Owing to such an attitude on the part of students, the professors too have little interest in teaching. They dont run behind students and have found comfort in their laid-back attitude. So, the faculty although good is of no use if the students are not willing to extract benefits from them.

Why are more students coming to Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) university each year despite getting less help in terms of study materials and faculty?

Lana Dey,B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (2014)

Every student will have a different reason and it could be anything. It cannot be said for sure why more students are joining Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT), but we can at least come up with certain possibilities.

  • KIIT offers ample study material to the students. The students are also interested enough to go through the books.
  • The library provides both hard and soft copies of reading materials.
  • Students enter a college hoping for a lot of things but ultimately realize it is not the college but their skills that will be given more importance.
  • The faculty at this university is excellent and acts as facilitators.
  • Reading and self-study will help you broaden your thinking and help you concentrate more to understand the concepts.

Concentrate on yourself and not on placement records, alumni network, or faculty. Prepare yourself to be skillful so that be it any college you graduate from, it is your work that will speak for you.
