Course Curriculum Overview

2

The subjects are very related to our field but the syllabus can be more hands-on instead of just the theory. College needs to go through their syllabus once in a while and add the upcoming market trends. Designing the curriculum according to the market trends can be more helpful for students as it would help them prepare for the industry. Irrelevant subjects shouldn't be added to the syllabus. The curriculum should be more growth oriented and provide efficient knowledge to students. They need to fill in the gap between what is taught in the curriculum and what actually the industry needs feom the students. Syllabus should be covered within time and students so that students get enough time to prepare for the exams. Things which aren't taught during lectures shouldn't be added to our exam papers. College needs to examine their exam schedules and need to adjust the dates accordingly.

Fees and Financial Aid

The course they offer is definitely not worth of the hefty amount we pay. The annuall fee structure of Btech-ITDS in Ajeenkya DY Patil University is 300000, which you need to pay the first half in the 1st sem and other half afterwards. The fees of mine and my batchmates differs , they pay 2100000 and mine is 300000, the difference is they took admission directly after12th and I'm a lateral entry-level in 2nd year. Ajeenkya dy patil university does not provide any reservations for students belonging to (obc,sc,nt) categories. Similarly there are ver few scholarship facilities provided. Plus if you fail in a subject , you need to pay the fine according to the credits of the subjects. They have fixed prices per credit so if a subject holds 3 credits and per credit is 4000, then you need to pay 12000 in penalty.

Campus Life

2

There are a lot of events carried out by the college for students to enhance their engagement in the college. There is a technical fest and a annuall fest carried out each year. They happen to be in firstly in mid summers or mid winters. A lot of different competition are kept as a part of the fests, they include dance competition, singing competition, drama, ramp walk and fashion show etc. Each and everydays theme are planned before hand. Students enjoy food, dance and everything while these events. Coming to the library facilities it has a vaat range of books in the libraries similarly every department has maintained it's own library. The class rooms are well ventilated with a variety of seating arrangement. They include a projecter too which makes the overall experience good. Sports are actively played by students in the campus and they opt for playing for college as well. The college has various clubs runned by students which one can join as per their choice.

Admission

In order to qualify for taking admission in Ajeenkya DY Patil University you simply need to have passed your HSC boards and taking into consideration of the ones who come through lateral entry/ after completing diploma. They have counsellors on their side who guide you for the admission process. As it's a private college one can directly take admission in the college. One can apply just after the cap rounds or before them. The counsellors guide us from the form filling to the complete admission process. There are no reservations for students belongings to (obc, st,nt) categories. The counsellors at the beginning promise a lot of fake things in order to convince us for taking admission. I suggest that students need to firstly visit the college and talk with the students who are currently studying there to confirm about the teaching methods and services provided by the college. The faculties need to work on their teaching skills and need to be experienced in their domain.

Faculty

1.5

Faculty has a big role to play in the growth of students. If the faculties are well read and experienced in their domains, it's pretty obvious that they will efficiently transfer their knowledge to students. The faculty's approach should be more practical and technical when it comes to mentoring the students. The faculty should be continously ugrading their knowledge and focus towards upskilling so that, they can pass on the same to their students. There should be enough faculties to teach in the college, adding to that they should be able to handle the class efficiently. The faculty should be innovative in it's teaching approaches, so that it encourages students and develops curiosity within them. Many of the faculties fail to do so and can barely explain what the subject has to offer, this leads to confusion in students. There should be more interaction and engagement between students and their faculties which would solve 50% of the problem. The faculties should be open to feedback

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
