What Students Say?

- Good campus with a sports field that allowed a great space for extra-curricular activities.
- Great library with a wonderful collection of books from the current as well as classics.
Dislikes
- The canteen was far from the classes and lacked a culture where people sat and ate together. The food was very bad and there weren't many options.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course personally to be able to grow in my critical thinking and be solution oriented as I knew this would serve as a base for a lifetime. This course at Delhi University allowed me to develop that. The coursework was demanding but it sharpens one's analytical skills and teaches one to approach problems in different angles. The course dives deep into the core area of mathematics - algebra, integrative math, statistics, calculus amongst others. The fundamentals of the course provide a good base for a person to use these applications in the real world where jobs are concerned. Some practicals or a more demonstrative approach of teaching would be a good enhancement to the already existing teaching methods.
Fees and Financial Aid
The tuition fee was affordable and standardized because it is a government university. Unfortunately, there were no campus employment opportunities provided by the college which I think should be included because a student can find herself/himself lost after a Bachelor's degree if they have not been given the correct internship opportunities pertaining to the subject itself.
Campus Life
The college had a good balance between academia and extracurricular activities. The annual day was celebrated once a year. There could be more festivities and celebrations so that students can feel more included and thrive. The library was exceptionally good with a great mix of literary and other books. There were a great deal of classic books but also all the new ones.
Admission
Admission to the course was based on the 12th board mark sheet with the eligibility of an 80% cut-off in Mathematics as a minimum. Application forms can be found on the Delhi University website with all the details. Alternatively, one can also physically go to the colleges and apply in each one. The admission process can be simplified with each college having its own website and conducting admissions from the website as well.
Faculty
The faculty to student ratio was 40:1, which was decent and I also consider it standard. The faculty's credentials were noteworthy and their teachings were quite insightful provided the student is paying attention. The faculty memebers were approachable and provided guidance to the students. Teachers were supportive and students found them easy to discuss problems with. Over all the faculty is good for Mathematics honors.
