Likes

Highly Qualified Faculty and Research Experience. The teaching method frequently incorporate practical applications , which help in understanding concepts easily.
IIIT Una is having a strong placement record. CDC (Career Development Cell) is working very hard. Many Companies are coming to campus.
Una is working on its Campus. The Director is working on development of college, making campus lift vibrant, with Technical and Cultural Clubs.

Dislikes

As IIIT Una is new IIIT so Incomplete and Underdeveloped Infrastructure.
In some cases, there might be logistical challenges or lack of support for student run events.
There is communication gap between the administration. As there is no Student Body. So sometimes Students phase the issues.

Course Curriculum Overview

Focus on Modern Technologies. One complete sem is for internship. You can choose Stream electives after 2nd year with which you can learn about other stream subjects as well. Project based learning : Every sem student is asked to work on projects under faculties.

Class Size: 66Course Fees: INR 120000 per year

Internships Opportunities

You can enroll yourself in any internship program may it be technical or non-technical. You can work in Hardware as well as Software field. Many companies also visit the campus Amazon, Infosys, Microsoft etc.

Placement Experience

The institute comes under National Importance. So you will get ample support to do Masters in any prestegious Institute. For Placement, stats are good. 2023- Avg package was 14 lpa. 2024- Avg packag is 10 lpa

Fees and Financial Aid

Scolarships are easily available. Loans are also available. Institute fees is around Rs 1,20,000 per sem Hostel fees is around Rs. 43.500 per sem Total is around Rs. 3,27,000 per year. SC/ST and State scolarships can also be availed.

We have many clubs here. EPMOC- Event managemnt club EUNOIA- Litrature Club FORCE- Coding AAVESH - Electronic Club ECOVA- Environmental club EIC- Entrepreneurship and Incubation Cell ASTRAL- Astronomy club

Hostel Facilities

We have 3 sharing rooms here. Rooms are spacious. Hostel Staff is very polite. We have mess inside the hostels only. Mess food is also good. Hostel charges are Rs 43570 (Hostel- Rs 20000 and Mess- Rs. 23570)

Hostel Fee: INR 43000 per year

Admission

You must have rank below 45000 for General. You can get admission via JEE MAIN. Then you have to sit in JOSAA counselling. Female quota is also now applicable. For rank below 35000, You can get CSE or IT. For rank above 35000 you will get ECE.

Faculty

One mentor is provided to every student, ever semester. Facuty at IIIT Una are typically well Qualified, with many holding Ph.D Degrees from prestigious Institutions. Even some faculties are working on real-time projects.

Chandigarh-based companies or the startups, and training institutes come here. Companies like Meander Software, Bebo Technologies, Novem Control, BookingKoala - Sales Hungary, etc. companies come. Average package is 3.8 LPA, and 50% students are getting placed. My plans after getting the degree is working in an IT company.

yes they povide placements. After 6th sem, means in 7th sem you are eligible for placement and apply for companies based on their requirements. Google, Microsoft, Adobe, Amazon and many more visits every year. Highest is the PPO of 93 lakhs and placement of 60 lakhs. around 93% are placed who registers for placements Average CTC is around in between 18 to 22 lakhs

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.
