Remarks

It's a Good place to learn, grow, groom and most importantly enjoy the golden age of your life.

Entrance Preview

The college has a good mix of course options with competent faculty boosted with the most modern teaching methodologies. We were guided on every step right from our personal interview to the selection of the right course for us. Since it was a new establishment at that time we were given the best care possible to groom us for our future.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is progressive and keeps the latest industry trends in mind while developing the pattern of study, this makes it more relevant to the market the focus is not only on theoretical knowledge but also on research and internships to give relevant exposure which makes it easier for the outgoing batch to move ahead in their careers with success.

Internships Opportunities

There is a program of internship where the institute helps you to secure a stint with a good organization of the area of your interest/ study. Companies like HDFC, ILFS, Wipro are regulars at taking interns. The minimum stipend is a variable factor and depends entirely on the kind of project you're involved.

Placement Experience

4

Since we were the second batch to graduate from the MBA discipline, not much was expected out of placements, but around 70 percent of the students got jobs from on-campus placements. Philips was a major recruiter with packages starting at 3.5 lacs P.A, followed by HDFC, Citibank, and ILFS where the package ranged between 2 to 4 lacs P.A.

College Events

4

We were a part of industry surveys where we got to meet and interact with industry stalwarts and had the opportunity to interview them and learn in various seminars. We were the first to celebrate our Annual Fest 'Elixir' which was quite big with performances by artists from various parts of India and quiz, debates where different streams were pitted against each other.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Ours was the time when MBA was still affordable with our fees for the entire course being 1.08 lacs, this was payable in six installments at the end of each semester via cheques or wire transfer or cash all of which was accepted and you were given proper receipts. It was also easy securing educational loans as the college had ties with certain banks and helped you in securing best offers in terms of loans.

Fees and Financial Aid

At that time scholarships were not in place but I have learned that they are there now and you can get up to 100 percent of the tuition fees waiver. The institute had an arrangement with PNB and SBI for educational loans at the time which I'm sure must have expanded in all these years.

Campus Life

4

The campus life was just taking shape with the institute finding its synergy where we enjoyed some of the best days of our lives. We had good get-togethers where we sort of interacted to get a to know all the people around to start and as the year progressed we had more and more fun parties where students from all disciplines participated we have socials functions every three months. There was overall a good atmosphere and our time was relatively quiet with a few instances of clashes which were nothing serious to write about, Gender ratios are a little weak with only 10 girls in a batch of 40 students. There was no sense of discrimination whatsoever and we were ready to help anyone or let's say we weren't introduced to such nonsense of intolerance and orientation bias.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Since we were day callers we didn't find the use of hostel or PG facilities but what I gathered from my friend who was from different states/ countries it was pretty good but the number of seats in the hostel per course was limited and was on first come first serve basis, since then the hostel facilities have been upgraded with the construction of the new wing and modern facilities its a pretty nice place to be. The food, however, was just like any other college lacking taste and imagination. If you're not able to find a seat where you can avail reasonably good PG facilities in the vicinity which are sensibly priced and offer quality accommodation and food.

Alumni/Alumna

We were the first batch and from our experience, we did do our share in helping the institute by getting internships and campus recruitment drives from our industry and through our peer network.

Exam Structure

There were bi-weekly class tests and monthly review tests with certain field exercises like research on any relevant event e.g. Stock market trends, consumer behavior surveys etc. then there were half yearly exams which were held to asses your progress mid-semester and then a final exam at the end of the semester which was like moving to the next level.

Admission

The admission go through entrance exams (Commonly accepted are CAT, MAT scores) once you apply with your scores depending on the cutoff you get called for a round of GD and PI post successful completion of those you a call for counselling where you are assessed on the basis of your performance in the GD and PI and offered a choice of course.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty comprises of permanent lecturers who are competent in their fields with a number of them having the background from the industry and academic research. Then there are visiting faculties from premier institutes and often authors of mainstream course materials who share their insights on relevant subjects.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose the course only because of our HOD, but after completing my course, he left the course. He has helped us with all the things like web development and seo skills. By doing it practically for every student, he offers a domain for every student. I had difficulty with Google Ads & meta ads because it was taught by another faculty. The exam times were different by 3 months.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good and after the 4th-trimester students will be eligible for sitting in the final placements and after the 1st-trimester students will be eligible for the summer internship. Gartner, Big 4 and Grant Thornton like companies that hire in bulk with good packages but Gartner don't hire in bulk and it offers the PPO also after the SIP with around 17lacs, as of now I am not informed of the highest package because I still placements are going on so don't know right now. 97% of students get the placements from the college

It is one of the renowned institutes in Kolkata. But after admission got the clear msg. It is renowned for its engineering degree only not for PGDM or MBA. They even dont have proper faculties to teach students. I majored in Business Analytics, but back to then in 2019 there was not even one teacher who have subject knowledge.

The good things I like is that the teachers teach through the slides prepared by himself and also told student to prepare PowerPoint presentation and deliver in the class and also give different case study to solve the problem. Only missing thing is that the student are getting less practical knowledge as compare to theory paper.

The good thing about this college are the activities that take place every Saturday, which is quite interesting and knowledgeable. The bad thing about the college is that the departments are divided on the basis of their courses so the students do not gather as a whole bunch of college.
