Likes
- The campus is pleasant with a lot of greenery surrounding it. A ground, a basketball court and ample places to sit with friends in the open.
- Cafeteria with variety of veg food options as well as packaged snacks are available. Water cooler is also present in the cafeteria.
- Annual fests with popular guests and intercollege competitions..
Dislikes
- The roads towards college is poorly maintained and is not preferable for travelling during rainy season as the roads get easily waterlogged.
- Not much scope of co-curricular activities.
Course Curriculum Overview
This curriculum has various subjects in different semesters that apply in world, such as taxation or accounting. Towards the end semester, students are given with projects and practicals which helps students expand their practical knowledge. Although, the syllabus is vast so more in depth classes should be included for scoring well in theory papers. CU sets a bit above than average paper especially for honours, but with proper guidance and self study, scoring well is possible.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees is taken per semester of 16000. It might vary when a person pays late with late fees starting from 500. So, The total charges in one year are approx. 32000-33000. The scholarship is available for students with exemplary marks. College also holds walk-in drives for senior students.
Campus Life
An annual fest called ' Ripples' usually happens in December. It is a two-day program, when 1st day usually intercollege competition happens along with many other activities such as DJ. And usually in the second day, a guest performer is invited. There are also multiple food stalls set up. The college has a library on the topmost floor with a huge range of books, and a lot of students borrow course books from the library. Extra-curricular activities happen here and there but there isn't much to it. There are social clubs like dance, singing, sports, etc. that are given a chance to represent the college.
Admission
For B.com horns, the 12th mark sheet was required. Above 60% can easily apply. The application form can be found on the college's official site. All information regarding fee structure and application dates can be found on the official college site. There are no reservation benefits as such. There is not much area for improvement in the admission process, it is the same process as every other college.
Faculty
The faculty in general is helpful, be it staff or teaching. The teachers have good knowledge over the subjects and provide the students with an easy roadmap to prepare for the exams. Even with less attendance, classes are not skipped.
