Likes

Professor are well educated and are very friendly
Canteen staff is too good and food is best at it's price
Good exposure of labs and instruments, also classes are regular and whole syllabus is covered by teacher properly

Dislikes

Campus life can be more improved if they work on infrastructure
Locality is not that good as living lifestyle there is just average
Student council has no powers due to which our fest was cancelled 🥲

Course Curriculum Overview

If you want to go in teaching field this course is best for you as it gives an straight path for that. Also you can go for industrial field and medical laboratory and all. College also provides opportunity to go to laboratories for real time understanding as in our projects and syllabus

Internships Opportunities

Recently we got summer research internship opportunity in vacations. We got opportunity to work with our professors in different research fields and also got paid by government for that. Stipend is about 5-10k based on your activity and how you take part in internship.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee of my course is about 10-12k per year which is too normal also you can avail scholarship as teachers will guide you about that. On basis of your family income you can easily get scholarship and can have quality education at affordable fees

Campus Life

Little bit disappointed while talking about campus life as campus size is average but buildings and infrastructure is proper built. And for social enthusiasts there are many spots for clicking pictures and all. College communities are good and they work properly and provides exposure to different events in different colleges. Overall experience in campus is good but not that much i was expecting.

Admission

My admission was through CSAS portal after giving my CUET exam. Admission was based on scores of Physics, Chemistry and biology only. Cut-off in last round was around 240 out of 600. Though it is off campus college of DU cutoff was low but this college is proper science college and is in top 10 science colleges of DU.

Faculty

Faculty members specially of mine department are too good, they are well qualified and has abundant knowledge of their subjects. Also lab assistants, teacher and other staff is friendly with students and they coordinate with students and help them at every step. Even you can call them for any guidance they will help you for sure.

A great learing experience- my college review

Course Curriculum Overview:

I didn’t get into medical college. The curriculum is not that good in my course. Practical should be more focused and research papers. Timing is just 2 hrs for core paper many students exam are left for writing in short duration

Ignou: Flexibility And Disappointment

Placement Experience:

Placements in IGNOU are quite limited compared to regular universities. Since IGNOU is an open and distance learning university, it does not have a strong campus placement system like DU or private colleges. There is a Campus Placement Cell (CPC) that conducts job fairs and recruitment drives at some regional centers, but these are not very frequent and mostly depend on the location. Usually, students who are in their final year or have completed the course can apply, but there is no fixed semester rule since the system is flexible. The companies that visit are not very large in number and vary every year. Some private firms, NGOs, BPOs, insurance companies, and small IT firms have participated in the past. The roles are generally entry-level such as sales, customer support, data entry, insurance advisor, or junior IT support. There are very limited opportunities for core mathematics or research roles through placements. As far as packages are concerned, the average package is usually around ?2.5 LPA to ?4 LPA, but since IGNOU is an open university, it cannot be expected to have the same placement levels as regular colleges with full-time classes. Also, the percentage of students placed is very small because most IGNOU students are either working professionals, homemakers, or people preparing for competitive exams, so placements are not the main focus. Many students use the degree as a qualification while pursuing their own career path outside. I am currently in my 2nd year, so I do not have personal placement experience yet. The data I have mentioned here is based on internet sources and feedback from other IGNOU students. From what I have learned, placements exist but are very limited, and one should not rely only on them for career building.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The reason for the choice of course is ofcourse personal interest also, research work in chemistry is highly interesting and also has scope in fields like chemical engineering,forensic sciences etc. The teaching methods are really good and the books prescribed are available in the libraries. The timing of exams are according to the university and is into two halves.

ANDC= The most average old school type campus life

Good for science courses but infrastructure and surrounding area is not good

I got admission to this college through cuet. I only applied to colleges of DU. Rather than ANDC I applied to Hansraj college of Delhi University but I did not get admission because my marks did not clear the cut off score of that college as Hansraj college is of North campus and has high cut off score.
