Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

A new programne called family afoption programme (FAP) introduced by NMC has significantly helped us in the practical level and also taught us importance of rapo in medical field. Exams are regularly conducted and marks are publish and send to homes.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

We work as house surgeons for an year. Stipend is too low about 9k or below. But we have to pay the entire tuition fee and hostel fee thats almost 8lakh+ Stipend is low in comparison to other medical colleges

Fees and Financial Aid

Fees usually increases year wise. I study at 694000 tuition fee and 96000 hostel fee. We also have to pay fee during house surgency which was really unfortunate. Intership is provided but stipend is too low.

Campus Life

2

Campus life is kind of dull and boring. There is nothing interesting in the college. And the place of our college is also kind of dry and nothing to explore. Sports and extracurricular are really low. Facilities and technology are adequate.

Hostel Facilities

2.5

4 people share a room. We have a hostel fee of 96000. In my opinion hostel rooms are not worth the fees since this is an old building there are problems with washrooms (mainly). Meal and its quality is satisfied and provided with enough proportion. But if you are a non vegetarian you wont get fruits, that kind of not ok.

Admission

Eligibility is neet mark. I also had reservation (OBC). NEET as known is a tought competition among lakhs of student, clearing neet was really tough. Admission process were government allotment so there was no much hussle.

Faculty

4

Faculties are very experienced. Almost all the head of the departments are retired from top government colleges. They are 24*7 available to clear our doubts. Teachere are approachable and provide us with all the necessary study materials.

Other Applied Colleges

Amala Institute of Medical Sciences - [AIMS] | Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)

It was closer to my home and also i came to know college had a well disciplined system

Even though a bit tight and rushy, this is in fact the best curriculum provided and followed by all medical colleges in kerala. The frequency of exam is high and difficulty level is as same as that of KUHS. This provides relevant experience for the students to weite the university exams

The course is a bit tough rather than other courses (professional courses) MBBS is a 4 year course with 1 year compulsory internship dealing with a total of 13-4 subject over the 4 years The curriculum prepares us for the real world experiecne but more often the clinical subjects aim in patuent student interaction that overall help in the achievemnt of professionalism The frequency if exams are very high as there needs to be regular revision of subjects in order to prepare for the finals and perfect in all clinical theory and oractical aspects

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's always relevant to the content being taught by the teachers. They always use application based questions to prepare us for a real life situation as well. First aid training was also completed. Some of the teachers are very interactive while some not. Short exams are conducted on a weekly basis while internal exams are conducted every 2/3 months. Not that difficult but it isn't that easy either. Very strict checking, nothing is liberal.
