MES Academy of Medical Sciences was set up in the year 1964 and is located in Malappuram district of Kerala state. The institute comes under the Muslim educational society. It is a multidisciplinary network of colleges compressing a post graduate medical college and its teaching hospital with dental college, nursing college, school of nursing, and the institute of paramedical science. All these educational institutions enjoy minority status under the govt of India. Likes

Promotes sports with great enthusiasm, encourages to participate in all inter university events , and hosts events at the college itself , has alot of sports courts in the campus including badminton , volleyball, basketball, football
Wonderful campus with good infrastructure and excellent patient flow with all high quality laboratory diagnostics and excellent faculties and doctors

Dislikes

Cultural events are not promoted much, only freshers day and graduation is the main event here , the fun and vibe in this college is created by the batch and not entirely by the number of cultural events here.

As MBBS is based on entrance marks on NEET, I got Into this college based on my marks . I chose this college due to its popularity and was near to my home . It has a lot of positive reviews as infrastructure is well built and hospital is with good flow , faculties are excellent etc

Good for academics and clinics.

Likes

There is a grren turf inside the campus along with 2 basketball grounds, a badminton court and an outdoor volleyball court.
The infrastructure is old although the facilities in college are adequate for what we need during the entire course.
The college is good for academics, it has good inflow of patients due to KASP insurance which is present.

Dislikes

The programmes provided for entertainment are markerdly low compared to other medical colleges.
The library facility is not top notch and there is no non-academic library, neither a facility where we can take books likr notmal libraries.
The infrastructure is not the best, the campus includes dental and paramedical campus which covers about half of the entite campus.

Admission:

I didn't chose this college, i got this college by allotement according to kerala neet rank after the neet exam. I got my fifth option in medical colleges according to the rank i had in the kerala rank.

My experience at MES medical college as a second year student

Dislikes

There are no much programmes or stress busting opportunities.

Admission:

To study MBBS in any medical college in India, we have to clear NEET. The application form, fees, dates are all given in the website neet.nta.nic.in. There is reservation for SC, ST and in kerala OEC also have reservation. NEET is conducted once a year and it is a moderately difficult exam. The topics for the exam are from Physics, chemistry and biology NCERT textbooks of class 11 and 12. Once the results are out, we can apply in the All India admission process as well as the state admission process. We can give a list of colleges according to our priority and will be alloted to college based on our marks.

Admission:

My admission was based on the neet score. the cut-off was 600 above for getting into govt college. but my score was less than 600 so I opted for a private medical college after the allotment I got the seat
