Course Curriculum Overview
The time given during exams is quiet sufficient and normal,as a college student we must learn to adjust with the timings and perform our 100% . The curriculum of this college (The big events) had caught my interest to join this college.This big events like spring fest helps us to communicate and contribute ourselves in social welfares. The improvement that is needed in teaching is that it will be better for the teachers and staff members if they teach the students in such way that the students can freely analyse and think out of the box.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are quite cheap compared to other colleges. During the payment of fees or admission, the spring fest money is collected in advance and is compulsory for every student in the college. I am also playing for the college football team and I play the goalkeeper position taking full responsibility for the college pride and honour in the sports field. During my first year, we got the first runners-up in college sports and also won some penalty tournaments organised by the college and hostels.
Campus Life
The experience of the college is amazing. Students of jakhama college always wait for the one particular event, the spring fest which is one of the biggest and the best events in the college and it is held of the month of February. During this event manu artists across India comes and performs making it more wonderful and joyous. The spring fest displays the seasonal culture of the college. All the tribes of the Nagas performs various traditional dances and folk songs. Speaking of sports and activities,jakhama college has many opportunities in sports field the college itself is very active sports and other activities but the downfall side is that the college does not give financial support for the college teams. In every classroom there is a withe screen and a projector and a green board which makes it easy for the students to understand and easy for the teacher to teach
Hostel Facilities
I'm staying in the St Joseph's College hostel (The Men's Hostel) The facilities are quite good and the food provided is the worst The food management is a final year student who takes advantage of the power and provides us with trash flooding. The hostel is affordable (2000) per month
Admission
During the admission there is a policy of first comes first with the securance of first division. During the admission period lots of students comes from different places so it causes a big problem leading to rushing and congestedness.The college should set a certain limit for the admission like 500 admissions per day so that the students won't rush during the admission
Faculty
Almost every day as in presentation or in good morning wishes.As a CR of the class. I interact with all the 4 faculties of my department (Education). I'm well known to my classmates and I have a great mutual relationship with all the people around me
