What Students Say
Likes
- I liked that there are many programs and functions.
- There are many good facilities in the college and many are underway too
- There are also many opportunities given to the students and many collaborations between many colleges and universities in abroad and there are many place made for us to hangout without rush
Dislikes
- We…it is obviously expensive especially here in nagaland
- There are many fines and collections. If you are absent in the first day than you get a fine . And the fine is quite high especially fi a student
- There are many opportunities however not for evereoor might I say the general people. It is not the college fault but …just wanted to put out
Course Curriculum Overview
I'm not sure why I chose this course but yeah I did.....what I am able to tell you is that I was quite a little pushed by people saying that this course would be more important incase I wanted to pursue further studies outside or wanted to appear for civil services .some of the improvements I would like to bring for this curriculum is it would have been better if we were made to study more practically.. maybe bringing some practical learning woul have helped rather than only studying in theory. It would also have been better if the teaching was based on how he/ she wanted the students would have made proper connection rather than being too serious at all times.and I would also have loved it if they would not ask random questions to Radom studies albeit their reluctance I know you want to engage but it makes the students not want to attend the class..... rather you can ask questions and the ones interested can answer you or you can continue on with your class after clarifying your answe
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees are taken semester wise . Per semester we have to pay in two instalments.the fees varies per semester. But per instalment is not above 15000 and not less than 10000. So for a year we have to pay four instalments twice in a sem. Yes there are various aids and scholarship for a student
Campus Life
My college life have been fun and stressful and sometimes lonely. I have great friends but due to the differences in schedule most times you get to be alone. The infrastructure is good and among the best in Nagaland so.. yeah that's that
Admission
I also applied to st Joseph college jakhama and I got accepted but I didn't go there because it was s catholic institution and I have nothing against it but I was brought up in one since forever and md wanted a change in scenario
Faculty
The faculties are good , the professors are well educated and knowledgeable and also friendly at least some of them. But some, a few of them are quite unfair and show preference to one or two but that is quite common in most schools and colleges. There are staff for cleaning too who are quite regular and do their duties well. The ones in the administration are also good and helps you when you are having some doubt or need any direction. The librarian are also very helpful. The ones in the canteen especially the veg canteen are not much good but sometimes they take longer time . The exam mark is out of 100 where the pass mark for exam is 32 out of 70. The rest 30 are distributed between assignment, viva and test. The test carry 10 marks, the assignment carries another 10 and the remaining 10 is for the viva. If we are unable to appear exam then I'm not quite sure of the consequences as neither I nor the ones I know have that much courage to skip. We take exam very seriously here. ...
