Course Curriculum Overview
The course teaches exclusively about Cloud Technology and Cyber security. The syllabus connects with the topics needed to get well-versed in the field. It does help a lot in interviews where you can explain about methodology which you will choose to encounter a certain security problem if the interviewer asks. There are a lot of practical sessions as well, the college gives you a separate cloud ID for each student. The exams are like 2 internals for each Sem and a 1 final exam for each sem. The exams are quite moderate if you have concentrated enough in the class. And teachers judge your answer by what you have written in your own words , not just copy paste from a book.
Internships Opportunities
They have a mini project and final project in the 3rd year and 4th year respectively. There are many companies which provide internship which come to the collage to recruit students. The stipend might range from 15k- 60k per month.
Placement Experience
The Campus placements are pretty good. The packages range from 6LPA - 45,50LPA. It ultimately depends on your knowledge and preparation on which package you get. The percentage of placements of students is almost 100% if not a high package they make sure you get a placement in at least greater than 3LPA.
Fees and Financial Aid
For the branch i had taken which was B-Tech in computer science ( Cloud technology and cyber security) the fees per year was Rs 2,10,000. There were many scholarship oppurtunities but I didn't apply for any so don't have much idea about it. The campus employment is good, there are some Japanese companies providing greater than 30LPA.
Campus Life
I was a member of many cultural and discipline committees. And trust me they give huge importance to such things. They let us organize many events and computations without much adherence. There are specific labs for all the subjects you study. The labs are big, spacious, and have all the apparatus needed.
Hostel Facilities
I stayed in a college hostel. I stayed in 2 sharing rooms. There are 3 sharing and also 4 sharing rooms. All the rooms are kept clean every day and have hot water also. There will be 2 tables 1 for each, 2 beds. The price for 2 sharing rooms was Rs1,20,000, and the others were cheaper.
Admission
I wrote an exam called JET(Jain entrance exam) which was quite easy if you have prepared for KCET and JEE exams. For more information about the exams and admissions, you can visit the official Jain University web page or visit the Jain College which is located in Jayanagar.
Faculty
The faculty-student ratio is approximately- 15:60 like if a class has 60 students at least 15 teachers will be concentrating on that specific class. The faculty all have cleared Masters and are versed in their domains, have written various project articles and research papers, and have been recognized for it. Personally, I used to interact with my mentor weekly once.
Other Applied Colleges
PES University - [PESU] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)
I attended the entrance exam but I couldn’t clear it.
