The professors and seniors are really helpful and knowledgeable
College is one of the most prestigious College in Kolkata
College is located in heart of Kolkata and is easily accessible

Dislikes

College does not provide ample Placement
Colleges campus is not very vast and some facilities are old
Classes are not conducted according to a fixed schedule and sometimes less number of classes are taken than required

Course Curriculum Overview

The course curriculum is set by University of Calcutta and is designed in a way that truly helps you understand the subject. The Economics course has a lot of quantities and analytical teachings as a part of the course. The course is useful for those aspiring to work in research, corporate sector, public sector etc.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees is nomial approx 2k per year with many need as well as merit based scholarship available. The most common scholarship are the likes of Swami Vivekanand scholarship, Kanyashree etc. provided by West Bengal Government and many other. There is no such campus placement available but the students but there are some companies that hire oncampus and the students are valued off campus and can get good jobs based on their skills.

Campus Life

The campus is not very big but has a good campus life. The students and seniors are friendly. Our college participates in many social, cultural, sports and other events. Our college organises it's flagship event called Ecopolemics every year with participants from all over India.

Admission

The application process was a bit tiring but now admission will be done through a single West Bengal higher education portal and it is very simple. No entrance exam was taken student are admitted on the basis of 12th marks the minimum cutoff ranging anywhere between 82%-90%.

Faculty

The college professors are highly qualified and helpful. Some teachers are have done their PhD and research from top foreign universities. The professors do their best to explain a topic. The faculty to student ratio is approx 1:7.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in this college is uoto date, very relevant and with at par with the real world scenario, we learn about disorders, different schools of psychology and a lot more. There is a perfect balance of practical and theory, which is needed in psychology. In terms of improvement, there is always room for it, as of now there arent any suggestions from my side. The frequency of exams are fine, they give us time to prepare however I feel like as, according to the NEP, the semesters should be 6 months long but here they are cutting it short.

My college offers very minimal placement for the branches of chemistry. Few Chemical manufacturing companies of haldia visits our college for placement. Students get placement offers in the first year of M.Stat. In general, however, most students prefer to go abroad for higher studies. Students who sit for placements mostly get placed in Finance and Analytics companies, typically in Business Analyst, Risk Analyst and other roles. ISI has a 100% placement record for B.Stat- M.Stat students. Companies like Goldman Sachs, McKinsey & Co., JP Morgan & Chase, Amazon, etc. come for placements.
