Course Curriculum Overview

I chose this course as it has many placement opportunities. In this course we can learn every aspect of civil engineering and get internships and a sufficient experience for getting jobs.The campus placements is quite helpful for the students as they will not face difficulties finding jobs.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are often available in our college.Even we get internships under the public works department. Internships with stipend is also available as we will get a work experience it will be very helpful for campus placements.

Placement Experience

Students are applicable for campus placement after the 6th Semester. A wide variety of companies come to grab someone who has the caliber to work for their company.Companies Like Oracle,Wipro,TATA often recieve students for placements.The Highest package is about 20 LPA and average package is about 4-5 LPA

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

As the college is halfly autonomous students can get admission through acquiring fair ranks for the entrance examinations or they can get a management seat. The fees structure for the students are 8,200 per year and for getting management quota seat they must pay an amount of 6 lakhs.

Campus Life

Tha facilities are good.Our technocultural fest Hestia is conducted every year.In the campus we have a football ground,Tennis court, Basketball court, Badminton Court,Gym, Volleyball court.Many workshops are conducted by various companies etc.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel facilities are good but the food provided by the college hostel is a major issue and I have got food poison and other health issues.Also for the first years they have a curfew for both boys and girls at 7:00 pm.

Hostel Fee: INR 6500 per year

Admission

Admission process is quite simple as we have to upload the needed documents through etlab portal. After writing the keam entrance exam i got a rank of 10036 and got in tkm for first allotment.We have to take a temporary admission after that take a permanent admission if you would want to in the next allotments.

Faculty

The faculty to student ratio is quite great and the students are able to grasp and learn the subjects by attending their lectures. The qualifications of the faculty members are quite good and they are capable of teaching every child who are facing difficulties to learn.

there are placements in every years but not every one gets it. because every one has less skills rather than coomparing their marks.becuase of their lacking of skills they have ended up being placed undeer companies which offer less salary.but some got good options also.and my collge is in a rural ares so not so many companies gets here

Yeah they do have placement here and they prefer their students more which is good and most of the time they give placement as teaching assistants. Sometimes only in the plant but mostly it's for TA and especially if you are doing your masters here it is so good

Pros and cons of NIT CALICUT

Placement Experience:

Qualcomm, ibs,Infosys etc visits. Highest package was 55 lakhs. Average package is 20 lakhs. Nearly 100 % placement in computer science engineering. After degree joining get a job through campus placement.

The eligibility to get admission to TKM college is based on Plus two marks and KEAM rank.if you are from general category try to achieve a rank below 7000 to get a merit seat.if you have any reservation then look at the previous year rank cutt of of keam. TKMCE - All you should KNOW before joining

One of the most reputed colleges in Kerala, TKM stands at position 2 among the engineering colleges under KTU. The safety within the campus is very high and the entire area has been covered under CCTV surveillance. It is one of the few colleges providing an 8:00 pm curfew for women. The admission process is simple and well organised and took place in the month of July with the classes starting on August 3, 2016. The college provides eyes breaking cum orientation platform in the beginning and is very serious about their academic performance. It encourages students to advance in all fields including sports (highly valued within the campus), social works (including NSS, STEPS foundation), and many other technology platforms. It is one of the best colleges to study in terms of college life as it is government aided and hence enjoys all privileges of a govt college.
