NIT Jalandhar - Should I opt it?

B tech is one of the best courses right now in India. Chemical engineering is right now in demand and course is really good at NIT Jalandhar. Ratio is good of faculty: student. All the faculties are good and all have done Phd and mostly have done it from an IIT. Term exams are timely and happen 2 times in a semester, they aren't difficult to pass. Just study from the books teacher recommend and you'll be passed.

There are many companies which provide paid internships. The companies provide internship in both core and tech fields. They give real life work experience which is handy for getting a job. They offer work at a software firm, a manufacturing plant or wherever the student is interested.

Students start getting placement as early as 7th semester and get placements upto end of 8th semester. Many companies including Amazon, Nvidia visit our campus regularly and provide placement opportunities. Highest package goes high upto 54 LPA while average package is around 10-12 LPA. Placement percentage lies around 80% and everyone seriously wanting a placement gets placed with a good package.

As it is a government college, fee is regulated and not very much. Plus, fees also depends on a student's family income. Course gives more than the fees as it receives many grants from the central government. The fee given is worth it to join the college.

Annual fest is held in April. It's a large fest for the whole college. Also small fests keep happening regularly, for eg. DJ nights. Library has a vast number of books. Classrooms are aur conditioned and in very good condition.many sports facilities are in campus and many clubs are run by students.

There are many hostels in the campus for students. A table, chair, almirah, bed is provided for every student. Rooms are sufficiently big enough. Food is better than many private hostels and hygiene is maintained. Registration process is very simple once you are alloted a course in the college and hostels are affordable as they are nearly 50k per year.

For eligibility you have to get minimum 75% in boards. Admission is done on the basis of rank in jee mains examination. You could get admission in my course at nearly 96 percentile. Information of jee mains can be found on official website

Faculty to student ratio is nearly 1:15 which is great. There are many departments in the college which have good faculties and are helpful for student development. Teachers stay in the college and are very much helpful and approachable.
