I found this collage a very good place to study and it have a very good placement record , more over the environment of the collage is very good for students who want to study and gain some knowledge, moreover collage is at a good sight that is near beach.

The course is of three years In this course we are tought everything about the shipping industry and how to work on board ship We're given different training like firefighting,stcw ,and other skills which are help full on board ship Also we tought basic of swimming

No uor college does not provide internship Since it's an government collage , But it provide internship for management students

Since the shipping market is going through recessional period the job are less but since then also our college is able to maintain a good placement record of 85percent per year also there are companies coming for placement are very reputed company and are very well known one

There are three major events celebrated in our college that are Hindi forte night that is 10 days celebration Next one is University day that is celebrated on 14th Nov And the next one is Nautica that is collage fest in which students from different collage of same course come and participate and win cash prize

The structure of the campus is ship based That is ever thing in this collage is related to ship it has been given an retro look an it look very nice there is mast in the front side of the collage then the academy then the boys hostel then girls hostel then playground and then swimming pool

Yes there is a very good scholarship scheme in which top thirty three students are given scholarship 1,00,000-50,000

The campus gender ratio is very poor since it's an Mariner collage an very less girls are interested in this field so the gender ratio is very low It is about zero is to hundred in current batch of first year there are no girls however in other courses girls are there

The hostel facelity is very good three students per room , it totally based on Mariner life i.e how you live in ship you have to follow all those rules in the hostel Mess food as per my experience it is the best mess food you will get in all CHENNAI based collage

The alumni has Benn started just now and our alumni are very helpful They help students to get job who had not got placed in campus interview

The exam structure is very lineant there are 6 subject per semester each semester is of four to six months end of which exams are held there are two additional practical exams and six theory exam each paper is related to ship and work related to ship

For admission ,First of all we have to fill the Imu cet online form available at, www.imu.edu.in, we site Then an online test will we conducted by imu cet at the designated test center given in your admit card, After that the results are published Then we have to give online councling fee then we have to choose the course we want to pursue, and after that there is a merit list published in which you are given your course name and campus , then you have to have a medical test from shipping approved doctor.which you have to carry at your campus where you got admission

The faculty of this campus are very experienced Mariner having a good knowledge of marine life They try to give ever possible information on how to work onboard ship and tell us how to tackle the problem onboard ship, They they also make sure all the practical are conducted in a real shipping like environment
