Likes

The Library(Central library) is so good,the infrastructure is also good.
The campus of UBKV is so formal It is arranged in a great way so that one can easily find anything in the campus

Dislikes

The Hostel food is so bad even we have to off the meal on weak days also
The canteen is not well developed, Sufficient number of food items are not present there.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am studying B.sc horticulture in this course Plenty of things are taught to students for example Crop production technology,Crop improvement, Different types of Horticultureal produce things attract to me to this course.

Class Size: 29Course Fees: INR 9800 per year

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions

University give schoolership facility to those students who ranks them in top 20 within the batch.The amount provided to student is 200 per month. Although the student those who got more than 60% marks they got SVMCM schoolership.

Campus Life

The Overall experience is good.plenty of cultural clubs a re available here like Dance club drama club singing club, Sometimes these clubs are take participation in many social activity, they participate in other University competition.

Hostel Facilities

Hostel are available for every student.Initially a student have to provide 2100 rupees for sequrity purpose then after every 6months we have to give 600 for wi fi and medical purpose.Water is freely available.

Hostel Fee: INR 2000 per year

Admission

For taking admission in UBKV A student should have a PCM background With more than 85% HS marks although Vocational background student can also take addmission by HS number but the seat is less. A student can also got addmission through ICAR exam.

The Teachers are so helpful,if a student is not able to understanding anything the teachers give his best to make it clear.All the assistance staff are also helpful they gave their best during practical.In every classroom Digital TV is present which is a great advantage for all the student.

Best Agricultural University in West Bengal

Remarks:

Best thing is that we do get all the information through institute email, college management is very helpful they don't force you in unnecessary paperwork or permission stuff. The only thing that i lack in the institute is that unavailability of single room in the hostel.

Remarks:

This is a very good university but infrastructure is small but adequate. Library is digital which is very nice. And sometimes few problem arises that too is solved within few days. Hostel mess food is sometimes below average but overall very nice.

Remarks:

University 's infrastructure is not so good. They are improving but they had to push themselves a little harder. The faculty is good and helpful and they are always there for the students whenever they need help.

The campus situated in Cooch Behar , West Bengal and the extended campus situated in Balurghat West Bengal. The campus is very good , clean and Infrastructure also very good. Every year many students got the Jrf scholarship.

UBKV, a great horizon of agri-horticultural aspect and pleasant greenery to provide tranquility

UBKV is known for the best ug education facilities in West Bengal. I have enrolled by general quota in Bsc Horticulture main campus. Though the admission brochure was ranged a minimum of 60% Mark's to enroll, students having 89 or 90% Mark's got admitted at last in spot counseling. Minimum 60% in aggregate and teach physics, chemistry, biology or vocational Agriculture or Horticulture in HS or equivalent exam for General or OBC; 50% in aggregate for SC / ST or PWDs and minimum age of 16 years is required as per university website. Hill and ICAR quota and vocational admission are available as per seat availability. Spot counseling was arranged at ATIC of UBKV main campus, pundibari, Coochbehar. According to the up-gradation of choice filling and student presence from the merit list, I got admitted and had a medical test.
