Course Curriculum Overview
Initially, in the first year, all the branches of engineering have the same subjects but from the second year onwards we start to delve into our core subjects. The main subjects include operating systems, DSA, database design, machine learning, digital design and computer organization, computer networks, and many more. However, it's always better to gain additional skills along with academics. A total of 3 internals would be conducted for 50 marks each in which the best of 2 is taken and then final sem-end exams for 100 marks.
Internships Opportunities
Many companies come for internships every year like SAP, Philips, Fidelity Investments, Microsoft, Aveva, HPE, and many more. There are also various project works available. Samsung Prism is a program by Samsung that offers many projects and based on performance students are offered internships at Samsung.
Placement Experience
Placements are the main reason why this college is number one among other colleges in Bangalore. The highest package this year from our department was 92LPA. The average package is around 17 LPA this year.
Fees and Financial Aid
Based on the entry quota the fee is different for different students. Management quota - the fee is approximately 42 lakhs for four years. CET quota - the fee is 1lakh per year. Comedk - the fees in this quota is nearly 2.5 lakhs per year. Students can join through any of these quotas. Many scholarship programs are also provided where in 80% of the fee can be reimbursed.
Campus Life
This college is an excellent place for holistic development. There are so many clubs and many activities going on every time. Although not that good, fests occur every year. So being an engineering student I would say the social life here is also pretty decent. The library is good.
Admission
I joined through the CET quota and my rank in CET was 520. So once cet results are announced there will be a counseling process conducted by KEA. We are supposed to choose colleges based on our preference and it will be alloted based on the rank.
Faculty
I'm a student of Information Science and Engineering dept. Here the intake is 60 students every year which is less compared to the CSE dept and thus the faculty-to-student ratio is pretty good. Faculties here focus more on the students. Coming to their qualifications most of the teachers here are highly qualified and everyone has a phD. They teach very well and students are free to approach them any time they want.
