Entrance Preview

Entrance exam name UPESEAT, AIR rank - 10783 I have interest in both law and computer science technology UPES is the only university in INDIA which offer a 6 year integrated B.Tech LLB course so, I choose UPES.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty is very nice and much experienced but I am a little bit dissatisfied with the course Curriculum we have to study Physics, Chemistry both semester in the first year and Mathematics for 3 semesters. I don't know the reason behind studying PCM for Techno-Lawyers for this long period of time for 1 semester Physics and chemistry is okay and maths is okay for 2 semesters but Physics and Chemistry for the whole year and Mathematics for 1.5 years is useless.

Internships Opportunities

Still now, there is no internship experience as I have passed just 2-3 months of my college life but I think so that It'll be so nice and knowledgeable.

Placement Experience

Placements are good in UPES. UPES is specialized university for Petroleum engineering but it has a good placement record in both petroleum and non petroleum branches. Maximum package offered to a petroleum student is around 25 laks and to a non-petroleum student is 17 lakhs.

College Events

URJA and IGNITE are the two biggest events/fests of the university, URJA is the cultural fest and IGNITE is the technical one.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Campus hostal is good (4/5 stars) mess food is okay, (3/5 stars)fees is high as per the facilities. (2.5/5 stars) there are more that 60-70 private hostels in dehradun for UPES students yearly charges starts from 75,000 per year to 1,60,000 per year including accommodation, food, transport facility.

UPES has tie up with SBI, Oriental bank of commerce and some other govt. as well as private banks for study loans.

Campus Life

Gender ratio is very unequal there is one female after 2.5-3 males campus lige the campus is nearly 15 kms. away from the dehradun city in the lap of mountains. There are forests all around. There is no franchise on that 25 acres of land atleast there should be one Macdi or KFC. Extra curricular activities are in plenty in UPES. There are a lot of student chapters and societies in UPES including ACM, CSI, SPE etc. which provide a very good platform to the students to show their talent and to work for the society.UPES has football, basketball, volleyball teams which performed very well at National levels too.

Some Senior are very rude but most are quite good.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements starts here from the final year only as before that intenrships and workshops and trainings take it's toll. So, once they starts, every other week we have some or the other companies visiting here and not just that, they also don't go empty hand.

Students of our university are involved with them with projects and internships so most of the placements floated at GEU already have students in their mind. I choose this course because of its affordability and the teaching quality of this college is good . They helps in choosing the real life application based projects . Teaching methods are impressive but they don't provide notes . We have make notes by attending class regularly. Frequency and timings of exams are of 3 hrs. For each subject . Difficulty level is moderate and students can prepare it well in the gap days also .

I choose this college as it is the Gfti's and the vibes and nature of our college is awesome and also it is just near tha national highway 238. I choose this course because this college is semi government college in Haridwar . And fees are also not so high as compared to other private colleges . Real world applications are there as we have learn alot of knowledge in our first year about that like communication skills , public speaking , webinar and seminar etc. improvement is only needed in the good infrastructure and much more advanced technology should be there to deal with . The timings are of 3hrs in the semester exams and in the sessional it is of 1 hrs . Difficulty level is moderate .

in our college placement is good unless you have Backlogs,less then 75% attendence and the training fee if you dont join the the training fee then you are not allowed to join the placement interviews. those who dont get placement they try off campus for the placement but according to me employbility rate just 6-7 out of 10

UPES CSE Program provide the best insights!

No safety nets for getting admission in UPES as university is strict in taking students. UPES Engineering Admission Test also known as UPESAT has to be cleared. UPES is top class!

I applied at GECET of Graphic Era and gave other entrances too. Apart from JEE, I cleared almost all and only one left was that. UPES has the best facilities!
