Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course structure is pretty good with credit system . Internals consist of 50 marks out of which 30 marks is midterm 10- assignment 10- quiz And all of this are mostly timed 1 month apart throughout the semester and is pretty good , doesn't make you feel burdened at all . And needless to say their syllabus is exactly the same as MAHE , manipal ( parent college) which has been established since more than 20 years and hence is tried and trusted . Overall the course structure and syllabus is pretty and I am personally satisfied.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college has a varied range of internship and project opportunities IBM and many other AICTE approved internship opportunities come from time to time which we can apply for and depending on you eligibility you can get into it . Projects and research can be done along with other students and like-minded faculty. The faculty also gives guidance on reasearch paper publications.

Placement Experience

3

As of now the college hasn't had its first placement batch since it's been started since only three years, but it should mostly be in par with its parent college MAHE,manipal. Bengaluru being an IT hub is also promising for internship and placement opportunities. Overall the placements should be good enough as said by the management but the reality is yet to be seen .( As of 2024)

Fees and Financial Aid

The tuition fee is fixed at the beginning of the college and has been the same since then for me . Scholarships are comparatively less for the MIT department, though good scholarships are there in non - engineering departments . The existing scholarship criteria is to have a rank below 1000 in MET exam , which is not that easy to achieve. Overall the scholarship scenario isn't that great and the normal fees isn't that budget friendly either.

Campus Life

3.5

My campus life has been pretty good with all exams being 1 month apart there is plenty of free time during which there are many events and club activities to participate in . The college also has given me a kindoff global exposure , that I wouldn't have gotten if I were to study in a college backhome . Overall am satisfied with my decision of choosing this college and can't wait to see what awaits for me in the next two years .

Admission

Their main admission methods are through MET exam or if your an NRI direct admission through NRI quota . The method exam is pretty moderate and should be easy if you have prepared for other entrance tests such as jee , the cut of for banglore campus cse core starts from 5000 which isn't that stringent to achieve and mostly you should be able to get into some computer related branch of your rank is under 20000 in the MET exams.

Faculty

4

60 % percent of the faculty are good at teaching meaning you can gain knowledge from their classess . Even then the rest of the faculty are also friendly so you can always go to their cabin to clear doubts and they are all always welcoming ( I do this mostly). Qualification wise almost 90% of the faculty have completed their phds , so it's fair to say they are all qualified. The student to faculty ratio is pretty good with each class having 60 students and a faculty maybe taking class in 2-3 classess it's pretty good , never felt crowded at all ..... Overall the faculty are always ready to help the student and have a good attitude towards us aswell I have personally never had any bad experience with any of the faculty and mostly all of them have been motivating and kind.

Other Applied Colleges

Vellore Institute of Technology - [VIT University] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Engineering)

Since, I got MIT Bengaluru, which was more student friendly and free in terms of rules , which I guess was important for my overall development

lacements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology Placements at MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology are decent overall, with stronger outcomes for CS-related branches and moderate but reliable opportunities for core branches like Chemical Engineering. ???? Placement Eligibility Students generally become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester (final year). Some companies also allow pre-placement offers (PPOs) through internships after the 6th semester. ???? Companies Visiting the Campus ???? Common Recruiters (Across Branches) TCS Infosys Wipro Accenture Cognizant Capgemini IBM L&T Deloitte (limited roles) ???? Core / Chemical-Related Opportunities L&T Reliance (limited roles) Schneider Electric Saint-Gobain Some manufacturing, quality, and operations-based companies Core chemical companies visit in limited numbers, so many Chemical Engineering students also sit for IT, analytics, and operations roles. ???? Packages Offered (Approximate) ???? Salary Range Highest Package (overall): ~?40–50 LPA (off-campus / international offer, mostly CS) Highest for Core / Chemical roles: ~?8–10 LPA Average Package (overall): ?7–8 LPA Average for Chemical Engineering: ?4–6 LPA ???? Job Profiles Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) Process / Quality Engineer Analyst / Consultant Software Engineer (for interested students) ???? Placement Percentage Overall placement rate: ~90–95% Chemical Engineering: ~60–70% Students with good CGPA, internships, and skills tend to get placed earlier and in better roles. ???? Employability & Skill Development The college provides: Placement training sessions Aptitude and soft-skill workshops Coding and interview preparation support However, students are expected to upskill on their own, especially for core industry roles or higher-paying profiles. ???? My Plans After Completing the Degree After completing my B.E. in Chemical Engineering, I plan to: Gain industry experience through campus placement or off-campus opportunities
