Likes
- Delhi School of Journalism is the only college in India that provide comprehensive journalism bachelor's studies. The designed course way towards practical learning and skill enhancement. Moreover, the brand of Delhi University always backs the DSJ.
- DSJ is a college that allow the student to learn basics of all fields of Journalism from news writing, reporting, anchoring to photography, editing , Public Relation, etc. It helps the students to obtain the skills of research and creativity.
- Being in the North Campus of Delhi University, the students themselves get a great level of exposure along with diverse opportunities. The course, knowledge dispersion and exposure are really good at Delhi school of Journalism, Delhi University.
Dislikes
- There is no permanent faculty at DSJ, all teachers are guest faculty result in very disturbed schedule. Along with the Adminstration of college is not that much effective and workaholic. DSJ needs more attention from Delhi University to develop.
- Currently the status of campus placements are very poor.. Not a single proper placement is done by the college. The college outreach and brand value is still at its zero level. Students have to suffer of unemployment in their last year.
Course Curriculum Overview
The designed course of Delhi School of Journalism, Delhi University aim towards practical learning and skill enhancement of the students. The course allow the students to learn about each and every aspect and field of journalism, making students masters of all.
Internships Opportunities
There are many internship of National Human Rights Commission, Press Council of India, Press Trust of India, NDTV and many more provided by the Placement cell of Delhi School of Journalism. The college is now starting to provide more and more internship opportunities to its students
Fees and Financial Aid
The free of Delhi School of Journalism is very very high, 70k around. There is no such proper college granted scholarships and financial assistance available for the students. Moreover the fee structure of the college is more hypothetical as they didn't provide that much services to the students.
Campus Life
Talking about the overall experience of Delhi School of Journalism, North Campus, Delhi University is incredible and like a roller coaster ride with full of up and downs. There are many societies in the college giving a lot of exposure and insightful experience.
Admission
The admission in DSJ is now done under the National Testing Agency conducted Central University Entrance Test, CUET. The admission in DSJ is not that much tough job. There are total 120 seats in each batch including reservation.
Faculty
DSJ has no permanent faculty. All subject teachers are guest Faculty result in very disturbed class schedule for students. Although many of guest teachers are very nice and the classes conducted by th are very fruitful. But still the ratio of subjects and students to the teachers is very very poor. DSJ need more support and eye from the Delhi University for proper faculty and campus infrastructure.
