Course Curriculum Overview
Term exams aren't that difficult to pass. You are required to attend the classes, engage in lectures and to maintain your notes. These three things would do enough for even an average student to pass with flying colours. Duration of term exams hovers around 1 month and students get enough time to prepare as a preparatory break.
Internships Opportunities
For Journalism major students, majority of the internships come from the domain of digital marketing, content writing and editing. Recently, Reuters, the Print, Bloomberg quint have provided internship opportunities. Other companies have also provided internship opportunities for digital marketing. One can expect the stipend of Rs. 8000-15000 per month(varies from organisation to organisation)
Placement Experience
Companies which are considered as Big 4 offer placement opportunities with lavish packages but when it comes to placement for journalism students then Hindustan Times, Reuters, The print, other media and publication houses offers placement for the role of content writer, editors and associates. One can expect package of 3 to 4 lakhs.
Fees and Financial Aid
Journalism being a professional degree is quite affordable in LSR. One can complete this degree under 2 lakhs(tuition fees). As per requirement many scholarships are available as well. For example scholarships for meritorious students, scholarships for minorities, scholarship for SC/ST and means based scholarship.
Campus Life
LSR is the most accessible place not only in terms of academia but in every way possible. It's green lush campus provides positive ambience to students. The classrooms are maintained properly and are spacious enough to accommodate them. Books of various genres, journals, newspapers, periodicals etc. are available in the library and the network of e-library is also extensive so that one can get anything on it.
Admission
Though the Delhi University's whole admission process has shifted online and students would be getting admission based on their cuet but the factor of latency is still there. The batch of 2022 got into colleges late, even after the COVID period was over. Now they are battling with short semesters, increased syllabus, and practicals
Other Applied Colleges
Delhi College of Arts and Commerce - [DCAC] | Bachelor of Arts [BA] {Hons.} (Journalism)
I didn't opt for the above college because Lady Shri Ram College for Women has been my dream college and I got admission in it too.
