Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is quite interesting and practical at the same time it gives you real time experience and knowledge. The teachers should make the subject more interesting and the curriculum should be made more clear to the students . The timing of exams and exam levels are satisfactory

Internships Opportunities

4

The major companies are zee news , and news18 india which provide and offer placements to the students with packages , diffrent students are given diffrent works and tasks to perform under the internship like analyzing a news , checking it's authenticity, collecting a news , preparing a report etc this provedies students with a huge exposure and experience in the field

Placement Experience

3

The students become eligble for campus placement from 5th semester or last semister depending upon the course duration . The companies visiting dsj for placement are zee news, news18 india etc . The highest package in 2023 was 11 lakh per annum . And the average package is 3 lakh per annum . Most of the student's get placements from the college itself approc 70% . My plans are to work as a news anchor

The college librabry is available to all the students books are easily made available for all . The classroom are big with fans , ac, lighs, digital boards, black and white boards, . The campus offers various extra curricular activities like all kinds of sports dance and music debates etc . These are diffeent student run clubs in dsj conveners club , design dynamics, model United Nations, and societies are like magan society, samriddhi society etc

Admission

No I didn't apply for any others colleges as I was only interested in getting admission in du to pursue journalism. The university takes admissions on the basis of cuet marks of the students through the csas portal of the delhi university. The admission process is quite smooth and good . The journalism for 5byear us most preferred by the students due to the real time experience the cutoffs are not so high to achive if you get 550/800 in cuet you can easily get into Delhi school of journalism

Faculty

5

Their are 600 students in my college and have almost 50 faculty members. The behaviour of our college staff and faculty is helpful and friendly.they are reachable and supportive. They are very humble and kind.my favourite faculty member is ketan sir he is very kind and helpful.the faculty I don't like is a member from admin office he is very rude. 2 semester are their in a year each semester have exams than after passing student are promoted to the next semester. Exams are quite moderate students get easily passed in exams the curriculum is good quite interesting.

Placement Experience:

Our college has a very active and effective placement cell. Major companies like Goldman Sachs, Bain among many others come on campus for not just placements but also internships. Average and Median packages are between 8 and 10 lakh per annum, with highest packages going up to 25 lakhs. Many also go for postgraduate education, such as MBA after CAT, or to reputed colleges like the DSE for MA.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is just like any other college, and you need to do a lot of the skill enhancement by yourself. Here, you will learn something, but not everything that is relevant. The professors will teach according to the syllabus, be it really relevant in real life or not. Everything that you will be learning will be relevant for career in this field, but not enough. You require to put some extra efforts to gain more knowledge and practice.

Placement Experience:

Students typically become eligible from 3rd year/6th semester onwards for most companies. Some internships and tech roles may be available to 2nd-year students depending on the company criteria. Placement Percentage: Usually, 70–85% of eligible students get placed, depending on the stream. Highest placement rates are often in Computer Science, Economics, and Commerce streams. My plan is to become a software engineer.
