Course Curriculum Overview

5

curriculum is much relevant for the students as it has comphrensive media training of different formats of broadcast, multimedia journalism, giving us practical projects to learn more, there topics are very contemproary. The curriculum is industry relevant, it teaches us how to be fit in all the aspects for the industry. It has a good reputation and integrated structures for the students. They also teach on the real world application to make us more productive and asset for the industry.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees structure for my course of journalism is 66000. The fees gets slightly increases every year. There are some additional fees such as caution money of 5000 rupees, registration fees of 1500 rupees, admission fees of 2000 rupees. It also includes developement fees of 5000 rupees, lab fees of 1000 rupees and some other miscellaneous charges of 2000 rupees. There is a little lineancy for the other categories as they may get 50% off.

Campus Life

5

Our college organizes multiple fest for the students and makes our college life so amazing. Many events are organized by the student communities and different clubs and societies, those multiple cubs are journalism society, photography club film and media club and many more. Our library has wide raange of books, journals, papers and e-resources that can be accessed by the students using their identity card. The classroom are well equipped in modern objects such as smart boards, projectors. The college also promotes the sports and cultural activities in the campus so they organize multiple competitions and championships for the students.

Admission

The other colleges that I applied for are Himcom and XIC but I chose DSJ because of its reputation and its academic curriculum that affected me a lot and attraced me to join here. the fees was also reasonabl and had a good balance of academic and social developement. it also has many clubs and societies. I got rejected from XIC as i was not able to clear the cut off. The admisssion process of my college is very simple, first of all you need to fill the application forms on DU admission portal, then you have to give the exam of CUCET and choose the subjects as per you. Later you have to clear the cut off and start applying in the counselling and document verification. Once all this is done then you only need to pay the fees and follow some procedures and the admission is dne.

Faculty

5

We have got the best faculties of our field, all the faculties are well educated and best mentors. the faculty to student ratio is 1 teacher for 30 students. Every teacher helps the student to grow better and all of them are very approachable. All the student have a good relation with the teachers. Some of thechers which I like are Prof. Dr. Dhananjay Joshi sir, Prof. Dr. Ambrish Saxena sir and more. There are only end term exams for us and the exam is moderately high level of exam and can be cleard easily if you focus in class. But some students are not able to clear the exam this can be 3% of the total student.

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.

The placement is fine in college. It is not a bulk campus placement like in most of the engineering colleges but it is pretty decent. The one who is smart and confident enough gets it. Companies provide a decent pakage to the ones who get placed.
