Course Curriculum Overview
They always try to update the course curriculum. They try their best but somewhere it's outdated. As a student we have to put extra effort to meet the demand of the specialization we have taken.Overall effectiveness is good for getting insights.
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good if you are the one who is going to work hard. Companies do visit, hire and offer handsome salary also. From 7th semester students become eligible for sitting in the campus placement. Percentage of placement lies between 60-95% depends on branch. Highest package goes around 50 LPA and average goes around 6-7 LPA
Fees and Financial Aid
Tution fees depends on whether you applied for fee waiver or not and your caste. It Depends on overall income of your family. If greater than 5 LPA then overall fee is 88000 per semester + hostel fees.
Campus Life
Campus life is pretty good. Lush ,green campus of 150 acres definitely gives you the chill vibe. Situated in Punjab so the weather conditions is extreme. In summer it goes around 45°C and in winter it goes around 3-4°C. Utkansh and techniti are the two official fest of NIT Jalandhar.
Hostel Facilities
Hostel facility is good. There are many hostels. First year students lives in seperated hostel while 2nd and 3rd year students lives in mega boys hostel. Meal quality is average and so in every college. If you want PG then within 1 kilometre you can get.
Admission
Eligibility is in 12th you have to score minimum 75%. Then you have to give the entrance exam JEE. On the basis of jee mains rank you will be getting the branch during your joshaa and spot round counselling. After that you will get an email from the alloted college. They will announce the specific date for physical reporting.
Faculty
If I talk about faculty qualifications, then they are best. They are really hard working and they really want us to grow. If we are in touch with faculties, then they will definitely help us to grow.
