This is TKMCE!

The college is autonomous now, and have set a new course curriculum, which is really relevant. The students are given training on a wide variety of skills and are given exposure to the industry by Industrial visits, Internships and other special training programmes. The college was following the syllabus set by the Kerala Technological University for our batch and it was not so good. It doesn't involve any such things. However the college always encouraged IVs, Intenships and conducted training programmes for us. Now all of those are the part of the curriculum set by the college.

An internship at the nearby PWD office was got by the reccomendation from our HoD and it was a good experience for us. We could understand well on what is going on at the site through that internship that lasted more than a week.

The special placement training program by the college which lasts a week will be on the 6th semester and companies will visit college by S7 starting. The core companies were Shobha, L&T, Gulf Asia, Paradigm etc. Some students from our dept. got placement at TCS & TCE. Shobha offers 5000DHS as monthly salary, which is nearly 13.64LPA. The highest CTC offered to our batch student was 34 LPA and 2 students from CS Dept. got placed. On an average, 50% students got placed here and some of the students have secured admission at top IIMs like IIMA through CAT and some others are hoping to get admission at renowned IITs and NITs for having good rank in GATE 2024.

The Tution fee was nearly 10,000/year and there are separate exam fees, sports fees etc. There was no hike in the tuition fee on my course duration. However the other fees costs between 7,900 - 11,000/year. A lot of scolarships like E grantz, Fisheries, IOCL, MCM etc. are available at the college and the college itself provides many, as a financial assistance for the best performing students. I

Our annual Techno-Cultural festival, HESTIA, was conducted on every May, which lasts 4 days. It is renowned in Kerala and college students from all over Kerala would be here on these days for participating in workshops, sports, games and competitions and attending proshows. Our central Library itself has a collection of more than 75000 books, and subscription to more than 100 periodicals and 10 newspapers. There are seperate libraries for Dept. s also. Nearly all of the classrooms are smart, equipped with projectors and smart boards.

The eligility for admission was +2/ 12th pass and a rank in KEAM, the entrance test in Kerala. The admission procedures was through the website of cee kerala. There were frequent exams, including 2 series test and 1 university exam for all the courses studied in a semester which has a duration less than 6 months, which was usually 4-5 for us. The exams were average to difficult for me. There were some easy exams too. The admission procedure is good and the students can leave and join (by spot admission) the college even after a few weeks of starting classes. There is a lateral entry to the course for the students who have completed diploma in the third semester. Also students from other college can join here in third semester through college transfer.

The faculty are really supportive and have a friendly approach. There are enough faculties in our college, with a good faculty-to-student ratio. The course delivery is good and most of the classes are engaging and there will be more discussions than mere lecturing. The same faculty will be clearing the doubts whenever asked and really helping minded, which is admirable.
